I'd say greed, that's what got Satan thrown out, that plus he wasn't a good Angel.

That was also pride thinking he could become better than God. But yeah, good point.

I really dont know what one is "worst"...sin is sin...

I would guess that for a Christian to deny God would be the worst sin.

I'm pretty sure it's pride; pride is the only sin that sets us at odds with every other creature in existence. We can become closer to one another (in a very shallow way) while revelling in any of the other sins; two guys could just as easily be lusting for different women as they could be for the same one; it is only chance that sets us against eachother with the other sins. But with pride, you are contending with everyone, because you think you are superior to them. Not to mention the flaw that prideful people dislike the most in others is pride. Pride, also, sets you at odds with God, because it has you acting like you are self-reliant. Pride is really what got Satan into the mess he's in, rather than Greed; he wanted to be like God.

You might say that there are prideful people who claim to have faith in God rather than being at odds with him, but in truth they're only kidding themselves. They just use the idea of God as a tool to promote themselves by claiming themselves morally superior. Because, truthfully, how can you see something that's so far above you if you're too busy looking down on others?

Anger

When people get angry, they say something out of control which makes an entire world different.

Making things different/change isn't really evil. At all.

I'm not even sure why anger is a sin. I mean, I understand that it would be detrimental and wrong to be obsessed with revenge, but I should think it would be good thing, if I, say, got really angry at someone for shooting my friends in the face.

To say anger is a sin is kind of equivalent to saying destruction is a sin, I suppose. ...both are incorrect.

For anger, I think they mean the word "wrath".

Ah. That makes more sense, then.

Yes. Anger in itself is not a sin. The Hebrew word for anger is used about 700 times in the Old Testament, and over 600 of them refer to God. Anger is the Fight response of the Fight or Flight instinct. It is a natural response to pain, threat, and injustice. Anger only becomes sin when the angry person acts on his passion, in which case it becomes wrath. As St. Paul says, "In your anger, do not sin." We will be angry, but what we do with that anger is what matters. There are basically five different responses to anger:

1. Lashing out. Either verbally or physically trying to hurt someone else. Wrath might be a good word to describe this.

2. Suppression. "Stuffing it down" rather than confronting the source of the anger. It is very unhealthy. In much the same way that a pressure cooker explodes unless steam is vented, a person who suppresses anger is liable to explode unless he vents his frustration.

3. Passive Aggressive. Manipulation and plotting, seeking ways to "get even," etc. A seeminginly "kinder, gentler" form of lashing out.

The above are unhealthy ways of dealing with anger. The next two are more healthy, if handled properly.

4. Confrontation/reconciliation. If done right, this is actually a healthy form of dealing with anger. It means calmy but assertively confronting the issue that is the source of the anger (the person that has done you wrong).

5. Venting. Another method of dealing with anger that can be healthy. Beating on pillows, heavy exercise, yelling in a private place, etc. Helps to release the adreneline produced by anger and helps to calm. It's basically the same thing as Lashing Out, but without anyone getting hurt.

I'd have to say pride, think about it the other sins are bad but if you become too proud then the all the others begin to take effect.

Why would the sins be emotions and feelings that are so common in people? I mean, everyone has commited all seven deadly sins before.

Emotions aren't the sins. I thought I explained that. The sins are what result when we act on emotion in ways that are harmful toward ourselves and others. It's not a sin if I get mad BECAUSE UPS LOST MY ESPRESSO MAKER! [/rant], but it would be a sin if I took a baseball bat and beat my UPS driver over the head with it.

Oh, I see. Okay. That makes more sense now.

Sorry, but my knowledge on the sins (or religion in general) is lacking, since I'm not Christian.
