That is disgusting, insensitive, and completely inappropriate.

And a joke. I thought it was funny...

Me too...

Image of an aborted baby (*Warning*)

Explain to me the humor...

Sea, I get the point you were trying to make (sort of agree with it, too), but that's not something people should accidently see.. -SR

Even though I can't quite EXPLAIN the humor, I find that hilarious.

Okay, not really. Not hilarious. Sad? Yes! Gross? Not really. I get the point though. F'real.

Why do couples have kidlets? Um... because... I don't know. I'm not a "couple." But if I were, I'd have the kids just to feel proud that I successfully raised a kidlet. It's like an accomplishment, plus, I'd get some good company and someone to help with their homework!

I guess parents also want someone to spoil. No wait, that's grandparents. Never mind.

I agree with StrongRad. Brainwashing your kids to think just like you instead of teaching them to think for themselves and question the world around them is just appalling, IMO. Like those parents who drag their 4-year-olds to their anti-abortion demonstrations, making the kids pass out pamphlets with shocking images (like the kind seamusz posted in this thread) of dead babies....way to parent, people. Let the brainwashing begin!

That is true... at the same time, I've seen pro-abortion people do the same thing. Either way, forcing kids to participate in your politics is just wrong.. Letting them participate MIGHT be ok, so long as you make it their choice (you might want to wait til they're old enough to know what they're in favor of or against).

Yeah, that's not cool... trying to make your children like you sin't good. The best way to have children that you will be proud of is to let them live their own lives.

Well, it's unavoidable that some of your interests and beliefs will rub off on your kids. Nothing wrong with that. If you're a good parent, you'll spend time with your kids, and they'll pick up a lot of the things you think and feel.
Of course, it's still a great thing that you teach your kid that they are free to come to their own conclusions and be prepared to deal with said conclusions.
I have no problem with parents taking their kids to church, though. As a parent it's your duty to do what's best for your kid. If you think your kid is going to go to hell if you don't have them "saved", then it's completely understandable why you would want them in Church. Still, given the way most of the kids I went to church with turned out, I think I am going to forbid my kids from going... They'll rebel against me and end up following all of the rules. :p

Well yes, teaching yoiur kids right from wrong is a given, and I have no problem with beliefs rubbign off onto your children, as long as they aren't forced on (Going to church could be considered havign beliefs forced onto someone, but I don't think so). As long as they choose their interests and choices in life, I'm fine, but it should, in the end, be their choice.

All I heard in that one was "dead babies"

http://www.dead-baby-joke.com/

Sorry. I had to. Favorite site ever.

I'll stop now.

Well why wouldn't parents have kids? It's an option available, it's good company, it's a good responsibility, I can't see why not.

Pro-creation.
It's why we're here.

What I'd like to know is:
Why do unmarried couples plan on having kids.

And I don't mean accidental pregnancies. Some unmarried couples PLAN on having kids, before they're married, or even if they don't plan on getting married at all.

Call me old fashioned, but I believe marriage should come before the kids!
Though that just doesn't seem to be done these days....

The most deep reason for the desire of children is because every spiecies of plant, animal, or even microscopic orginism's main goal in life is not to have a good life, make money, make a difference in the world, or even make a better life for our children, but simply to reproduce and spread our spiecies across the planet. (although, humans, being the most complex of creatures, may have many goals in life, reproducing being the biggest one.)This is why many animals can feel a state of loss, because the number of spiecies has just declined.

woah... i sure hope i need to write an essay or sumting on that subject, that was pretty dang good!!!

I'm sure they do, but there are many preventative measures that can be taken to ensure that children do not occur.

You stole my answer! Wait...should I have said that? Anyway that was only one of my answers! Couples have children because the thrill of seeing them go to school, to high school, to college. It's because it is the best accomplishment in life to create a living being. If Teff finally conquered the world, who would be there to keep it going after he's dead? His child. That shouldn't have been said either... (Insert Evil Josh and Billy quote here)
