Socketz! first emerged in the late '70s, trying to make listening to music an all-new thing. Unfortunately, their first album, Downtown Seventeen, was dismal failure, and Socketz! disappeared into obscurity. Recently, however, they've released another album, Socketz Zockets, containing a compilation of a few singles they've made over the years. This release also includes a few techno/rock songs, though only one, "Trace Voltage", sounds any good.

Angels With Harpoons is a band that combines elements of 80's hardcore punk with modern-day emo, and they're one of those groups where you really can't tell what the lyrics are because they're all screamed. Their biggest hit so far is The Bleeding Night. All of their band members "sing" at least one song, including their female drummer.

Sulegoid Castlerus, a roman band founded in 289 BC, first to use electric guitars
(powered by very primitive batteries), due to being too "ahead of the're time" the band was a complete failure.

The Max headroom's.

Nobody was able to really grasp them, due to the broken speaking in mid-lyric and thinking they were sellouts from the beginning since the mascot from which they are named did a slough of Coke ads in the late 80's (yes, I remember them).

Blessing of Perdition is a pseudo-Christian rock group that sings songs with nebulous themes and has enjoyed moderate mainstream success. Their albums sell fairly well, but not their concerts, because all they really do at concerts is sing. Which is technically what you're SUPPOSED to do, but nobody ever just sings at a concert nowadays... their biggest hit so far has been the soft-rock "In My Time."

Wolfram was one of those really old bands that people still seem to be into today. They did some good rock songs that are still used in car commercials.

Your Telephone a band consisting of one key boardist who uses synthasized telephone rings and creates 10:00 plus songs with them. He is fairly popular in Fiji and New Zealand.

50 Watt Flood is somewhat boring. Why? Because they're a perfectly ordinary modern rock group. They don't have any major angst issues, no drug related problems, their songs are rated PG at worst, and all their melodies and themes are almost instantly forgettable. "Generic" is how one magazine describe them. However, their music has been showing a promising techno streak recently...

We Started on the Internet
A boy band consisting of 7 (and on accosions 8) members, each with their own fan group. They had a large mainstream hit entitled "Your voice, eyes, and hair" After that, their publicity faded, only to be regained slowly after six months of unpopularity. Fact: Oddly, the band members did not meet on the internet, but strangly at a McDonalds some 3 years ago.

Calvin and the Hobbses was a classic garage band back in the late 80's. They released their first album, Watterson City, in 1992, and skirted around some lawsuits before releasing a second album, Let's Go Exploring, in 1996. The band broke up almost immediately after this album, but Bill Watterson has occasionally stated that he was flattered by their work.

Really Good Lemonade is a kid's band that writes "tame" rock and techno beats specificially geared toward the younger set, about everyday occurances. The music is actually pretty good, and some adults have taken a liking to it. A bit like They Might Be Giants, actually, with the major difference being that they started in children's music instead of branching out into it later in their careers.

The Nighty Knights released their first album, Nightlight of the Round Table, in 1992. I became pretty popular, because it had poetic lyrics and a techno beat. In 1993, they released their second album, Twilight Excalibur, and it did very poorly. With thier sales dwindling, they felt that they needed a gimmick to become popular again, so for their first concert, they played their songs in full knight armor, then they faded away.

PurpleOrange (Thanks to Typhoon {Einoo} for the awesome name)

CurSING! is a band that, after watching the Bonus Stage episode CurSING!, they decided to make the rest of the song, beginning with Joel's lyrics:
It's been a while, but I'm back on top.
Gonna rock you harder than a Dixie Cup.
I lost my arms back in '94
Now here is Phil, and he's gonna tell you some more!

Continuing from that, CurSING! finished the song, titled It's been a while, and they made eleven more Bonus Stage-related songs, compiling them on thier only album, Everyone Knows That Auto- Mechanics Tamper With The Battery. They folded quickly after that, but they're still very well respected among Bonus Stage fans.

Old geezers with two clarinets and a kazoo, trying to make a successful techno band. Tops charts, number1 hit for 36.5 days. MTV, VH1 and FUSe's lines jammed by requests for Dead Robot Jerks' videos.

Grindcore band. All of their songs are about skinning people alive. Not all that popular, except among fellow sociopaths.

A dance pop band that happens to sample guitar riffs. Action Science is generally frowned upon (and controversial) among emcees named after candy, but their hit singles are played on wrestling shows every so often, for some reason.

A European band, formed from a mishmash of players from different nationalities, not all of whom speak English. Their style is dance/race techno, and they've gotten into trouble for sound sampling at least once or twice. They don't generally sing, but when they do... Arrg, cover your ears!
