Those bands suck. Not just for the fact that the sing through their nose... but for the fact that they don't really have much talent and that they are making money off of exploiting subcultures which denounce them for doing so.

About singing through your nose, it's very hard to put words to... It's partially due to the way they control the flow of air through their nose and mouth that makes them sound that way... Anyone got any other ideas?

On the note about Marilyn Manson, I don't think he's very true to his Satan-worshipping (or at least the Judeo-Christian version of Satan). Because there's a line from a song of his that goes: "I don't believe in a God that doesn't exist", or something like that. Well, if you don't believe in God, you can't believe in Satan, in the proper sense.



Ahh, this takes me back to the endless training I did on dialects and voices last year. I won't bore you with the technicalities, but people with middle-range voices are best suited to nasal singing, the words are clearest with them. And it doesn't involve much control of the flow of air, it's just a slight compression of the larynx. But toastpaint.

well, remember this, Anton Xzandor LaVey Indighted Marilyn Manson As A Priest of The Church Of Satan, he only did one or two services, but he just holds the title just for show.

I don't know about LaVey sometimes... I've seen a lot of his stuff in Ayn Rand's books, and I can't stand Rand. I've had a few conversations with some friends of mine about whether or not The Satanic Bible is just a plagiarization of Atlas Shrugged.

Funny thing though, I discredited Ayn Rand in one sentence. Rand was quoted as saying that smoking shows humanity's dominance over nature. I say, if we are so dominant over it, then why are we so addicted to smoking and do it even though it kills us in the end?

I say this, and I smoke... go figure.

the thing about the satanic bible......... im reading right now for reference and to take the element of evil from it so i can write more stories. it seems like a Handbook for the satanist, Just like the Key Of Solomon the King and the Grimoire of Armadel are the basic handbooks for the Modern Wican/occultist.

Rosalie - She used many smoking refrences in Atlas Shrugged. It was made in one of the points about cigarette smoking. But still, many people think of it is a symbolic reference, but it's a flawed view due to the fact that smoking is incredibly addictive and potentially fatal. Thusly, in my view, reinstating that nature is still dominant over us.

I havent identified myself as one, for i dont praise satan, but i do study magick and wicca... Although it sems to me that everyone is following Satanism's Views, but they go to church or some otehr form of religious gathering.

Question! Why aren't books like a Wrinkle in Time or Chronicles of Narnia considered satanic? They use way more magic, if not more, than Harry.
