One of my buds from a Christian forum sent me this article from WorldNetDaily. This Iranian leader supposedly has these visions of the Mahdi, a Shiite Islamic messiah figure. Shiites believe that the 12th imam disappeared in 941 & will reign for 7 years on Earth when he returns, & will then bring a final judgment to the world.

Sounds like the Antichrist to me, a guy who promises world peace for a 7-year reign, only to bring about war & strife.

We Christians call him the Fourth Horseman. Here is the Wikipedia article on him.

Huh. I would think it a little bit improbable that the entire world would follow this guy without question. The Antichrist, in my opinion, would have to be someone so believable, and so convincing when he pretends to be Christ, that almost everyone would be fooled.

But it does sound something like the Antichrist. We'll have to wait and see.

It's not the Antichrist.

We'll know when it's the Antichrist.

Most likely we won't know when it's the Antichrist.

I like how Choc-o-lardiac Arrest thinks it counts as 'ownage' when he attempts to say Christians are following the movement of the anti-Christ and that Jesus is really the anti-Christ, when the Book of Revelations is a Christian work. As far as I know Judaism has nothing like this, only a prophecy of the Messiah. Islam has an end-time prophecy but Jesus/Christianity is clearly not the "anti-Christ" in theirs, because they hold Jesus to be a messiah and a prophet (but not the son of God).

Oh, and intertwining the typical "lolz bush is evil" trivialism with it, very cute. (Not.)

A serious, grevious logical fallacy of which I suspect is meant only to troll and anger Christians without contributing any honest thoughts. Nice work, CoA, you've created introduced an unwanted level of mindless mudslinging.

"What came to mind," hm? You pretty much just confirmed what I said--you didn't really put any thought into your reply, you just decided to make a post twisting what was quoted in a sort of "lolz christianity is evil" sense, then posted that "owned' picture.

Mindless mudslinging.

well, i try to put humor in everything.

on the subject, though, i think that this is just another thing just like the four horsemen, such as douglas said. its gonna live on for a long time, and when the edn is finnally upon us, people will be pointing fingers trying to figure out who is causing it.

EDIT: also, thats not jesus christ in that picture, thats a guy who looks like jesus christ. convincing, eh?
EDITx2: Guys who look like Jesus

Um...It's not really Ownage to put pictures of what comes to mind.

...Now that I think of it it's not even ON TOPIC to put pictures of what comes to mind.

... And what, praytell, makes you think I actually thought that was Jesus in the flesh? I said nothing of the sort or even implied such a thing in my posts.

No, instead it's blindingly obvious that you just snagged some random picture of a guy who looks similar to the common concept of Jesus, just to serve in your mudslinging.

I'm sorry, but you haven't "owned" anyone. You got called on what was little more than a near-instinctual jab at Christians that was given little rational thought.

Now you're trying to dodge that by inventing the claim that I was fooled into thinking you somehow discovered a genuine picture of Jesus? No, I think this is more an attempt to continue trolling even when your initial jab was exposed for what it is--nonsense.

Get real, COLA.
