I enjoy a lot of the traditional music, like Rudolph or Frosty. But newer Christmas songs are cool too. I really like the Band Aid song, even though it's kind of a sad subject.

Ok, that is sacrilege. Why would anyone let a crap-tacular band like MCR do that?

White Christmas by Bing Crosby has always been a personal favorite.

I give this thread a Woot! :)

My favorite Christmas song is either "Here comes Santa Claus" sung by Elvis, "Everything I want" by Tenacious D or "Rockin' around the Christmas tree." Oops sorry, I meant "Rocking around the holiday tree".

Nothing will ever beat Fairytale of New York, by The Pogues. Nothing, I say!

Those are not traditional.

Traditional music would be Christmas hymns which have been around for hundreds of years.

I think saying that Rudolph and Frosty a traditional christams songs would be acceptable. Just because something is old doesn't make it a traditional idea or thing.

My favorite Christmas song is I'll be Home for Christmas. All slow-like.

Actually, it's just "The night Santa went crazy, the night Saint Nicke went insane". [/weirdalfangeekery]

Personally, I prefer Christmas at Ground Zero. [/moreweirdalfangeekery]

Ahhhhh, yes. My least favorite Weird Al song.

Personally, I think the older, the better. Who can resist those folks dressed up like eskimos?

Also, Elvis Presley's "Blue Christmas" rocks.

That is such a hilarious music video.

Call me Scrooge or the Grinch, but I despise Christmas music. All of it. Except Carol of the Bells as done by the TSO and Metallica. That's cool. Otherwise, I hate it. A bunch. Twice.

Edit: If "Making Christmas" counts as a Christmas song, then I like that one too.

I like that Charlie Brown Christmas song, as well as "Making Christmas" from Nightmare Before Christmas.

My favorite english Christmas song is Carol of the Bells.
But I like none others more than all the traditional P.R. songs we sing every Christmas.

I find 99% of all Christmas music to be highly chichéd. So I put on some Bob Rivers.

TSO is great. I saw them live last Thursday. It's unlike anything I'd ever seen before. I was in the thrid row, as well. I love all of their great Christmas music.

My sister is talking right now about how much she hates Christmas music. She's 18, by the way.

Let's face it... christmas music has nothing to do with how people really feel this time of year. Bob Rivers is at least honest.

But, what does her age have to do with this?

heres something that i like. PLEASE NOTE: this song is on a CD, but they are offering the mp3 for free distribution off of their website, so this isnt ilegal downloading

Nine Days Of Judgement

ohh, and FYI, Its more on the topic of the Cthulhu Mythos, so its nothing about Christmas, but its to the tune.

I like most Christmas music, but it annoys me when radio stations start playing it nonstop from the day after Thanksgiving until Christmas.

My mom has some Perry Como Christmas tape. Yeah, tape. That she plays alot.

But I like the hymn songs. "Silent Night," "Joy to the World," "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear." Those kind.

And of course I gotta like "O Tannenbaum" arranged by They Might Be Giants.

I don't like Christmas music, so I just continue playing what I always play:

Skillet
Pillar
Switchfoot
Nightwish
Metroid Metal
Jars of Clay
Kutless
Rhythm
idiedaily

Those are the bands I have songs of in my iTunes music library. I play it so it shuffles the songs and repeats them, so it's like radio.

I can't believe how many people here don't like Christmas music! Course, you have an opinion, and now I'm gonna go sing.

"I SAW DADDY KISSING SANTA CLAUS"

Wait, no. Eww.

(Yar, I wasn't meaning to offend anyone, either. Just making a small joke.)

I like a lot of the classical songs like Sleigh Ride and We Three Kings. The greatest Christmas song EVER is Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer. That song is genius.
