Hey, in episode 60 of Red vs. Blue, this line is said when Simmons insists that Donut saw the tank that drove behind Sarge while he was talking:

Sarge: Donut's impressionable. He'd agree with anything you said.

Donut: Yeah!

Sarge: Aw, heck, he'd eat a spoonful of dirt if you told him it tasted like chocolate!

Now, as shown in time capsule, Stinkoman happens to enjoy eating spoonfuls of dirt. And since the guys Red vs. Blue HAVE made HSR references before (Strong Bad in a PSA and Tucker calling Church "crap for soul"), I'm curious. Do you think this is a reference?

I'd definately see this as a reference. It makes sense.

I really don't think that's a reference. Just more of a joke/conversation-type deal.

RvB's references to H*R have always been obvious stuff, just references to the site in general, like showing Strong Bad's head in the tattoo PSA.
I don't see any evidence that they actually follow the site close enough to pick up something like Stinkoman's love for eating dirt.

I'm even unsure about the "crap for soul" bit... "crap for xyz" lines are as old as the word, they don't have to be a reference to anything.

Remember that they also referenced Penny Arcade (I think it was) in the tattoo PSA, I think they just picked two popular web cartoons and used them (as was the joke). It doesn't mean they go to the site, and both this and the "crap for soul" lines are different enough to H*R and make enough sense in context to be considered coincidence in my book.

Though unless you go ask Rooster Teeth, I doubt we'll no for certain.

Seems like a pretty big strecth to me. I recall a similar situation popping up on The Simpsons years ago, with Bart tricking Homer into thinking mud was chocolate pudding.

They do in fact go to the site. I met them at the Toronto ComicCon a few weeks ago and they complimented my Trodgor shirt. :)
