In this month 2 years ago, in the email "2 years", it was said that Strongbadia would have a world class hole, "FIReWORKS OR DIE", and the world class hole with Coach Z taking a leak, Bundt Cake Pan and the cinderblock and the Stop Sign breaking up.

Now that it is September of 2005 (although just barely), do you guys think this stuff will actually happen?

Discuss! :sb:

Wow, I can't believe it HAS been almost 2 years since that E-mail. It's really snuck up on me in that case! I'm sure TBC have been reminded by fans on a consistent basis of the upcoming anniversary, so they most likely realize this, but I'm still not sure if they're actually going to update us on Strongbadia or not. I'm leaning slightly toward 'no', but something in me says they might do some sort of tribute. So I voted 'maybe'.

I'm thinking it's gonna be a Dangeresque 3 thing all over again, where something else happens..
Either that, or they don't acknowledge it at all.

I really don't know, but for the sake of discussion I put yes, because I really hope that it happens. You can't really tell with the chaps.

I don't think so. The Bee Cees usually don't repeat jokes like that, and if they were gonna add those changes, I think they should have done it early in the year.

I doubt it, serriously. I mean, TBC never did anything for Dangeresque 3, although they did consider it. Maybe they'll do something that kind of adresses it without really addressing it...

Perhaps StrongBad will just wake up in StrongBadia with everything changed.. Like it all happens overnight... and after a lot of really annoying stuff, he finds out it was just a dream. Like the American version of Super Mario Brothers 2...

I think it might be that. TBC are probably getting e-mail after e-mail about this topic, so I wouldn't be surprised to see something happening, even if it's something small.

I don't think it's going to happen, and if it does, the effects won't be permament.

Whats the date of 2 years to the day?

Eh, maybe. We haven't even seen the ol' kingdom in a while have we? Changes could be a-brewin'.

I honestly don't think it will happen, as much as we would like to think that Matt or Mike would follow up on what was stated in "2 years".

I think at this point it would take many people repeatedly sending emails to Strong Bad asking about this "2 years" question for them to really address it. And even if they did, what is left for us to see or for them to animate? We already saw the note the cinderblock wrote to the stop sign, the world-class hole, and The Cheat's mural. We witnessed Strong Sad being more whiny than usual, the bundt pan was there already, and so was the tire, complete with belt award for having won the title. This doesn't leave much for expansion, but you never know with The Brothers Chaps...

The End

I don't honestly think they'll do anything, but I would be amused if someone did email Strong Bad about it (a la Dangeresque 3), to which Strong Bad responds by going out back to see Strong Badia basically as he predicted it, says "yep, yes it has" (or something) and leaves. Paper comes down. End of email. But they'd have to do two emails that week if they did that, because that's about 30 seconds at most and you know people would complain

This topic brings to mind two other "future" events, Dangeresque 3 excluded. They are in image form below:

Image Image

Perhaps that day in June really was a "knight" to remember and perhaps TBC were joking when they wrote in that bit about Email #173. The point of what I'm trying to show is that if you listen to (or read) some of the DVD commentaries, Matt and Mike sometimes cannot even remember the titles of the some of the Strong Bad Emails (in one example, they couldn't remember the exact title of "for kids"). And I do not think they could remember what they were thinking at 6pm on a Sunday night when they were writing some of them. Please understand that I am not discounting TBC's work at all. They are, indeed, very talented and I'm only trying to show that like all humans, they tend to forget what they meant (or their exact intention) sometimes.

I don't think they would change the character of Strong Sad, so I'll say no.

In fact, Strong Sad's gotten less whiny since then!

Well, that stuff is only what Strong Bad was guessing what would happen. So if they don't happen, TBC didn't really forget about it.

Ed has a point. Personally, I'd like to see Strong Bad address the topic, but I don't think all that he said would happen will actually happen. Maybe we will get some change to Strongbadia, if not what Strong Bad predicted.

Yeah, I realized as this thread went on that 2 years is really only SB's idea of what Strongbadia will be like down the road, not what actually will happen. But I'm still thinking there could be some sort of huge change in SB's kingdom that none of us are expecting. Maybe that's the bigger reason we haven't seen much of Strongbadia in awhile.

I agree with EG. It was mostly just what Strong Bad thought would happen, maybe some of it will, but I voted no. I'd really like to see the Tire Madness thing, though.

I think there will be a new main page based on it.

That seems like a good idea. With Coach Z saying something when you scroll over E-mail. I'd like that.

Oh yeah, I didn't thinbk of that, thats a great idea! I think they'll do that. One will have the buntcake pan bounce, and another having Coach taking a leak, and STrong Sad being whiny, then one where the tire's title will go DING! like when The Cheat's gold tooth shines in his character video, and finally, someone will fall into the world class hole. That sounds cool.

Oh, I knew. I was just too lazy to check at the time. :p

It's much easier having you get my knowledge for me. ;)

This whole topic has been done before, I'm pretty sure. But I'm just too lazy to find it.

I'll agree with the new main page idea. I think it would be really cool.

Well, there is a hole the "Death Hole" Homestar fell in, though I think it's in the wrong part of town.

Really? It has?

Didn't know that. I would LOVE a new main page.

:sb: "Oh, look at this FIReWORKS mural."

I can imagine that rather well...
