Kinda like topofsm's poll, but I'm comparing guitarists. Personally, I like Jimmy Page.

Hendrix. No other guitarist could ever match Hendrix in pure talent.

Make that three in a row.
Yeah, I chose Hendrix.
None quite like him.

Roffle.

I don't know. I've never listened to either of them.

Hendrix all the way. he was more innovative. Page really just ripped off some old Muddy Waters stuff. (not that that's a bad thing). I also am not a very big Led Zep fan, it all sounds the same to me.

BTG, alot of guitarists can SMOKE Hendrix in pure talent, but in the ability to write amazing songs, well thats a whole 'nuther matter.

When I said pure talent, I meant raw talent, no one came close. There were a lot of great guitarist who had more refined talent, but Hendrix was unharnessed.

While I think that Jimi Hendrix was the better guitarist, if not the greatest guitarist of all time, I like listening to Jimmy Paige (Led Zeppelin)'s songs more. Jimi Hendrix's guitar solos are cool, but I don't like the rest of the songs.

So yeah, Jimmy Paige for me.

Although Van Halen was a great guitarist...

Hendrix. He is one of my guitarist's main inspirations.

This is a totally pointless and one sided question.
On the bright side we can use it to praise ol' Jimi!
And his fantastic chord.
What was it? E flat 7 flat 9 or something?
Anyhoo, it ruled.

E flat 9.
That chord was also in Van Morrison's Moondance

Although Jimmy Page had the greatest guitar solo on the top 100 list, Jimi Hendrix was on there a lot more than Page was, so Jimi Hendrix.
