I think One Million is a real character that is usually off-screen.

One instance is the Cool Boots toon, obviously.

Something to back this up is in the episode where Strong Bad shows Homestar his drawing of Li'l Brudder, he says to an off-screen identity, "Yeah, you better stay there!"

This is loose, but he could be talking to the same 'One Million'.

When he said thanks one million in cool boots he was saying thanks X1000000. If you know what I mean.

He said it in a tone that says like this.

Thanks, One million.

Say thanks to someone and compare. :O

Grr. The cheat makes really bad cartoons. The sound over laps. If you listen to the rest of the toon where he starts one sentence while another is ending.

And in "crying" (the little brother episode you were talking about) homestar is stupid. there was no-one there.

Well, Homestar unlike Homsar or the like that are not as much like him, kinda does make sence at times, if not very loosely. He could be talking to anyone off-screen.

This case, I like to believe it's One Million.

I like to sneak what I believe in posts when I'm losing, or firmly believe it in posts. Good morning! ^_^ I am quite adamant when it comes to facts. I'm not always right. I keep telling myself I'm right, though. I'm a brat! ^_^

The Brothers Chaps said themselves that they have no idea who Homestar Runner is talking to in that scene. They haven't made any mention of "One Million".

I think this is just too much of a stretch. The Cheat's voicing style in his cartoon makes the way the characters speak sound wrong. So no.

The Cheat is bad at English. Homestar said "Thanks one million" instead of "Thanks a million."

That's why I like PBTC cartoons.

Well, if the Cheat really does record voice sampels like some suspect, then TC probably just couldnt get a sound clip of H* saying "a million".

Way too much of a trech, what makes yu think he's telling one million to stay over there?

Yeah. Thanks a million is a common phrase, 'one million' is not a character. TBC joked that it was the Swiss cake rolls that Homestar was talkin' to when he said "And you stay over there!" But they said they don't know who it was.

B-but.....

His tone makes it sound like.......

Yeah you got me. I guess it IS a little much of a stretch. :P

I mean..... He WOULD'VE said it like, Thanks ONE million.

Made By Da Cheat toons always have the characters talking in odd cadences and emphasizing the wrong words of sentences. To suggest that "One Million" is a character because of a minor inflection is, well, that's a daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang big stretch.

Yeah, the Cheat speaks horrible english. So you cant really tell what hes saying.I just like to pretend hes speaking perfect english. :p

And, Im pretty sure TBC doesnt know who Homestar was talking to.

Right, such as when Homestar said, "I'd like some soup" and Strong Bad responded with, "The Cheat, get that man some soup."

Well, although an interesting theory, I'll have to agree with the majority here and say its a bit of a stretch, although not without its fanfiction opportunities...

And I'll reitterate what everyone else has said in that The Cheat's grammar in the cartoons are off. Probably because, hey, let's face it- English isn't his first language!

No thanks, no and NO.

That's very elongated and stretched.

In the DVD commentary for "crying" TBC suggested that maybe Homestar is talking to the floating Swiss Cake Rolls.

Author:  SwissCakeRolls [ Tue Aug 23, 2005 3:24 am ]
Post subject:

Yeah! To me. But really, don't they say something, jokingly, like "Maybe it's that pile of Swiss cake rolls he's friends with. They got in a fight and he told them to stay over there." Something like that, anyway.

Yeah, they said something along those lines.

:hr: Owww... those things are bad for you!

That's one of the best lines in all of H*R.

Bingo. Suggesting that "One Million" is a character would be like suggesting in the Homestar realm there is a kind of soup called Some Soup, since that's how his inflection hints.

And I do believe Homestar was talking directly to the Swiss Cake Rolls in "invisable".
