http://www.homestarrunner.com/hallowday.html It's up! Watching it right now... EDIT: Oh man, I love Bubs' costume this year. XD; The Cheat's is pretty cool too. The funniest part was Strong Sad going crazy from the sunlight ( "Funny things... happening... to my mouth..."). Loved the Great Pumpkin reference with Strong Bad in the witch mask, too. As well as The Goblin's completely random appearance in the middle there. Also, for some reason it amuses me greatly that apparently the Spooky Woods are full of cute little flowers and rainbows and happy things when it's NOT Halloween. XD |

It was a little dissapointing... Even though the Goblin's appearance was funny, it was a little too short, and most of the costumes I couldn't recognize. Hopefully they'll have a DECEMBERween 'toon this year... |

Meh. It was okay. The only costume I recognized was The Cheat's. Although when I found out that Coach Z was Queen Latifah, I chuckled. Other than those two, I haven't even heard of any of the other ones. |

My rating of the costumes: 7/10 - Didn't get it right away, but it's an interesting one. Is this the first time Homestar has had hair?
8/10 - I didn't get this one right away either, but it's definitely a good one for him. I love Homestar's joke at the end.
2/10 - I don't get it.
5/10 - I don't get the costume, but I like Strong Sad in this one.
10/10 - I got it immediately and thought it worked great for The Cheat!
10/10 - I also got this one right away, and Bubs definitely made it work!
9/10 - This is creepy, but for Halloween, it's a great choice.
4/10 - She needs more exciting Halloween costumes....
8/10 - I understood the costume right away, but he didn't do anything interesting with it.
0/10 - WHAT WAS THIS!!!???? Horrible!
0/10 - Repeat KOT.
10/10 - You can always count on Homsar to have a great part!
Toon as a whole: 8/10 - A few good parts, but for the most part, not that great. It was still good, though. Once I found Homsar, I raised it a full point! |

I thought it was pretty funny. Though I had trouble recognizing all of the costumes. There were some good lines in this one... : "After that, we'll transform into a giant robotic Halloween Night-finding space panther! Or... not."
: "You are aware that Halloween Night is not a puppy, aren't you?"
"Happy Day of the Dead!" : "If I wasn't dressed up as a pretend priest-comedian, I'd beat the crap outta you right now."

Where's Homsar? The wiki doesn't have him yet. Anyway, it seems I may be one of the few people who reckognized The Poopsmith's costume right off the bat. For the clueless, it's from this movie. I also got The Cheat's and Marzipan's. (Nice half-mustache. Ha.) I liked it, especially the scene with the "spooky" woods and "Happy Day of the Dead!" XD Though the way it works out may have made it more fitting for the way LAST year's 'toon came out... |

This one was...uh, bizarre XD I enjoyed it, but it felt weird. I liked the Day of the Dead joke at the end, though. And "Evil Carmen Sandiego" cracked me up. I thought The Cheat was a Furby at first. I WAS CLOSE THOUGH. And Bubs as the Coach from Home Movies was cool but...not 80's!!! Oh me oh my. I love how the costume looks, though. They even got down the fact that they all look like they're wearing footie pajamas in Home Movies. |

I liked it, but I didn't recognize any costumes at all. The only problem with it was that the story's resolution seemed really rushed and random. As far as the storytelling goes, this is definitely the weakest Halloween cartoon. I also think they should've actually waited until Halloween to release it. Overall though, it was good. 7.5/10 |

OH MY GOD, I almost peed myself when I saw Bubs as Coach McGuirk. Ironically, I was watching Home Movies clips before I saw this
I miss that show so much. |

Ah, I was expecting a bit more this year for the Halloween toon, but it was still great. :3 My favourite part was Strong Sad's comments about the light and his mouth. Strong Sad: {Laughing} Somebody shoot me. *Snert* Ah, that almost made me fall out of my chair. How I love Strong Sad. I think I'm too young to understand what any of those costumes were. *Shrug* But they made me laugh, so good.
Good prize. *Le ding* Edit: The mentioning of the Day of the Dead made me laugh as well, considering we're doing a project on the holiday in Spanish class. :] |

Heh, I recognized Homestar, Strong Mad, The Cheat, Bubs, Marzipan, the KoT (sorta - I knew he was "the guy on the frozen fishsticks box" but didn't know the actual name ) and kind of recognized Homsar (I knew the costume looked kinda familiar, but I wasn't 100% sure where it came from). That's probably the most I've recognized in a single Halloween 'toon so far. Do I win a prize?
Oh, and I forgot to mention that I loved this part: Quick, somebody else say it!
HORPY HORLOW- *the sky gets lighter*
No, not you.

Reference the Homsar Easter egg: Click on The Poopsmith's head after the KoT talks about his diet, but I'm sure you read that on the wiki by now. Halloween Homsar Easter eggs always have something to do with The Poopsmith, so next year, you'll know where to look. My opinion: Halloween just isn't the same without night. It was a good concept to explore this year, though. It's hard to top Halloween Potion-ma-jig anyway. Analogy: This toon is to Potion-ma-jig as Fairstival was to 3 Times Funjob. |

Wasn't the best Halloween toon. It had a few good moments, but nothing really big. |

Still the only person who recognized the Poopsmith. Though I did catch the 2001 reference... the year, not the movie. And I did kinda know who the KoT was, but I wasn't sure. He's a food mascot again this year... wonder if it'll be a pattern?

Other than the fact that it was day, it was still a good toon. I roffled at Marzipan's, Bub's, and for some reason, Pom Pom has the same hair style as my enlish teacher last year, only it was black. Strong Sad wanting doom and gloom more than laughter and good times really made me laugh, especially his mouth making weird noises after he said "Something funny's happening to my mouth!" 8/10. I don't really care if I get the costumes or not. It's fun learning what they are in the end and going through those extensive, random WikiHunts. |

It wasn't that good. With the convoluted plot and random, quick resolution, it looks like they mind-melded with the creative team at Nick Jr., then digested their souls. Still, a couple good lines here and there. "You are aware that Halloween Night is not a puppy, aren't you?" "I'm going to interrogate the toilet for about eight minutes. See if he knows anything. After that, we'll form into a giant robotic Halloween Night-finding space panther!" |

I didn't like it as much as last years. Last years is still the best Halloween toon. I liked my fan idea more than this daylight idea, but my fan fiction idea was about the lappy being kidnapped or murdered (murder mystery) and they uhhm, kind of did that before Halloween got here! lol. So I still called it! They still did my idea, basically. But I was hoping for a much more interesting toon. Still good, but not what I was expecting. Rating? 7/10 |

I've gotta agree. It just didn't feel right with it being light out. It wasn't bad, there were still good parts, but it was defenitely not the best halloween cartoon. The analogy was a good way to put it, I was thinking the same thing. |

I loved Homestar's costume, and Coach Z's was hilarious. The toon itself was okay, but it did not exceed my expectations. |

This halloween cartoon was disapointing, although I am sure it will grow on me. I had this same problem with the Missing Lappy short. It was good, but it just wasn't what I wanted to see. 3/5 s

I didn't recognize anyone this year. I thought The Cheat was a FURBY, for crying out loud. I lso thought that Homsar was Alfalfa from the Little Rascals, and Strong Bad actually struck me as an evil Carmen Sandiego. Needless to say, I roffle'd when Homestar brought that up. TOP 3: "HARPY HALLOWER-" "Not you, Coach Z." "So-ho-ho-mbo-ho-dy sho-ho-hoot me-hee-hee..." AND, THE BEST: "EGGS TREE, EGGS TREE! THIS GET UP IS MY GET DOWN!!!" That egg tree in the background was a nice touch. Also, note that this quote makes perfect sense. There's an "eggs tree" right there, and, even if there wasn't, it sounds just like how Homestar was saying "extra." The get up/down part makes sense on its own. This comes second only to Potion-Ma-Jig. 9/10 |
