Lots of these kinds of things were revealed as fake. Not sure about that one. Seems valid.

Here are some short Japanese commercials. The first one is entertaining while the second has some pretty interesting clips, including a shot of a Metroid assist trophy, Groudon, and Ice Climber's final smash in action. The third one has some footage and interesting new characters like the Trainer and King Dedede.

- Commercial #1!
- Commercial #2!
- Commercial #3!

This could be cool.

As I said in a comment there, I would (crap) a brick if this happened.

Those commercials are pretty cool, but there's two more that I'd like to point out (both of them are pretty weird).

This one confirms that you can have two people playing online from one Wii (like Super Mario Strikers). I don't understand the eggs, though...

This one (which some people on IGN call the "cross-dresser commercial") is just a promotion for the online portion of the game, I believe.

What the...?

Those are just weird. But the first one had a good piece of information. Maybe that's Team Brawl online.

At this point, about 65 minutes until the first Brawl update of the year. Thing is, without revealing secret characters or anything, they can't really say anything absolutely groundbreaking, just pleasing, like the Sonic Final Smash and music update.

The only possible things they could release for that are Subspace villains, Snake's Final Smash, or a Sonic Assist Trophy/stage.

...Perhaps a recently-created game update, like Rosalina, one of the corrupted Hunters (Or Dark Samus herself), you get my picture.

EDIT: Olimar would be a celebrated update, too.

EDIT 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO: Yoshi's Island, Corneria, Onett, Brinstar, and Rainbow Ride. Well, it may be old stuff, but first update for the year is five stages? Sweet.

Eh, I wish those stages got a graphics upgrade to the Wii, as many of them seem like stages that'd be recreated in Brawl even without the past stages option (just like the Great Fox level from the N64 to the Gamecube). Either way, these stages are really swell and seem to have some more originality from a lot of the Brawl stages we've seen already.

Oh, and did anybody notice that on the Rainbow Ride stage in Melee (and a few of the other scrolling stages), there were rounded gray corners around the main part of the stage if you got the camera to zoom out enough? It was sort of like something you'd see around the corners of a video camera when you were recording. It also appears to have been removed in the Brawl version; did anybody even know what they were there for?

Maybe like a warning? The screen does move around, so it'd be best to just stay toward the middle (the area defined by the gray corners).

Who knows?

Probably a long shot, but:

In Mario 64 (which the stage is originally from), you were constantly being followed around by a Lakitu with a camera...maybe they're just trying to recreate that.

Yeah, it could be, but it also appears on levels such as Big Blue (at least I think it was on that stage...). It was quite strange, especially when it's not there now. Ah well, maybe I'll e-mail Nintendo Power one of these days or something.

But first, I must resubscribe to them.

Well, he'd probably stay in the same platform he used the final, while the screen moves away and kills him. Guess those kind of final smashes put the character at a disadvantage when they're on those stages.

---
Anyways, I looked at todays update, and saw the 5 melee stages with quite improved graphics. Yoshi's Island looks the best in terms of graphics. Or maybe it's a lot more colorful. Corneria is back, and I'm happy. That was one of my favorite stages to play on. I'm not sure about Onett though. It wasn't my favorites in Melee. Brinstar is back, but I'm not seeing a major graphical improvement. Maybe I need a comparison. And lastly, Rainbow Cruise. Maybe it's because I couldn't play as well on this stage, but I never liked it in Melee. But Brawl will have to contain at least one of those kind of moving stages for a variety in the stages.

Eh, the main three stages that brought me into the thought that there's no graphical improvement are Hyrule Temple, Brinstar, and Corneria--Corneria especially, since its background is severely lacking when compared to stages like Battlefield (however, the Great Fox textures seem to be a bit more detailed).

It doesn't really matter too much though, as Sakurai did state that he was trying to make exact replicas of the stages.

Not to mention that in melee there was no graphical improving on the old stages in that one, so now they even have a precedence not to "fix" the stages.

So I guess I haven't posted in this thread yet. There's no black dot thing.
I'm looking forward to this game, and I've been following the Dojo blog the whole time.
It's a must buy for me, though it might come a little late.

Fighting Alloy Team?

...Alright, I'll admit it. They're pretty.

Now, who are they? I'm assuming Falcon, Zero Suit Samus, Pikachu, and... Who is that green one? Jigglypuff?

Wait, what are you--...

...

...

...If we are jumping to the same conclusion, that is either the best or worst idea I have ever seen.

EDIT: Interestingly, while it seems the horns are not small enough for the Animal Crossing guy, he's not the right size to be Pikachu, and too bipedal. He looks about Lucas' size. So we're thinking a child. With horns.

...Which comes up blank with me.

EDIT 2: Wow, apparently my sense of size is off. That guy's about Mario's size. Okay, as big as Mario, with horns...

...Ngh... Anybody?

Actually if you see the Landmaster in action, you'll notice that it has a very potent hovering ability. I don't think he'll have any real problems on moving stages, other than his opponents finding it easier to run away. Donkey Kong on the other hand...

Also, my guesses are Red = Captain Falcon, Blue = Zelda, Yellow = Mario and Green = Kirby.

Blue = Zelda?

Ehhhh, I'm more one to say that it's Zero-Suit Samus. Nintendo's really in love with her at the moment, I would *not* be surprised if this was the case. I know that Zelda was the female wireframe last time, but still.
