Aha, that's awesome.
I too saw
I Am Legend awhile ago and I really liked it. It kind of took me back to
Signs by M. Night Shamalymoo. It really had that suspense factor, as opposed to that horror factor and it really gave you a look at the chaos within a man's inner character, especially whilst placed in such life-threatening situations.
Will Smith pulled off his part too. By that I mean, this movie is way better than I Robot. He accomplishes his character as lonely and detached, yet strong-willed and honorable. That being said, you get the perfect vibe from this film and the perfect mood. It was also interesting to have a dog as the secondary character to the lone protagonist. She doesn't talk, but you really feel the connection between her and Will Smith and you really begin to feel for her, just as you would with a normal human character. And when they show Sam as a little puppy, come on, look me in the eye and say that didn't melt your heart.
Unfortunately, it was those long, dragging scenes between Smith, Sam and the occasional mannequin that made the movie. When the two survivors showed up the movie kind of lost its allure. Another gripe I have with the movie was its use of CGI, especially when it came to the mutants. Yes, CGI was necessary for the scenes that included huge packs of mutants on the run, but when the camera goes close-up to focus on an individual mutant, and when you start giving the mutants personalities, CGI ruins it. The mutant that Smith kept for research and the mutant that seemed to lead the others both should've been actors under heavy makeup or something like that.
Really good flick though, go check it out guys.

Oh, and I mentioned Superbad earlier in this post... Well I actually have seen that on DVD. I think a couple days before New Years'. It was pretty funny, and pretty awesome. It doesn't quite live up to all the hype, but it's certainly going to be remembered as a very funny movie for quite a while.
Like Putin said, I thought Superbad was just like the name said: super bad. I was really disappointed actually. :'[
I gotta disagree with you there. I'm a huge fan of
Superbad and I think it's a downright fantastic movie. It has some of the best humor I've seen in awhile, mostly because the dialogue doesn't sound like it was written by some Hollywood fat cats in an office, the dialogue is natural. I mean come on, high school guys don't talk about the latest test or quiz, they talk about getting into parties and scoring.
Superbad is a modern day
Fast Times At Ridgemont High, or a modern day
Sixteen Candles!
