Whee, we lost the last lacrosse game of the year, meaning that we didn't win a single game this season.

OK, so for my last essay for history class, I have to analyze Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young's song Ohio about the Kent State shootings in 1970, and explain how it is relevant to historians, and what it represents in American history. Sounds easy, right?

WRONG!!

I thought it'd be easy myself, but turns out I have no idea how to stretch it out into at least five pages of essay. But I already have some of it done, and once I figure out where I'm going with it I'm sure it'll come together nicely. Plus I have until Friday at 5 PM to finish it, so it's almost unbelievable that I've already started.

Well, once this is over, there'll just be one more real essay, and three final exams, and then I'm FREAKING done for the semester, which is going to rock. As of two weeks from nine minutes ago, I'll be done. Counting the minutes.

So how am I feeling, you ask? OK, kinda stressed, writer's-blocky.

My team is currently 8-2 and probably on the way to winning the league.

It was so amazing it made me want to cry.

My first concert was KISS and it was brilliant.

My latest concert was the first show of The Police reunion tour, in Fenway Park, and it was so great I almost exploded three times.

I'm feeling great, physically. I've lost ten pounds in three weeks. I stopped drinking soda, so now all I have been drinking is lemonade. And I think it's really made a big difference in helping me take off the pounds.

Get a gym membership and go every day.

THAT'S MY PROCEDURE.

I'm at college, though, so it's easier for me.

I will, once I drive. I put off doing driver's ed for six months, and then it took me three months to finish it. I got my permit in February, so I'll get my license a month before I'm seventeen.
Yay. Already have a car though.

Well, definitely do it, especially once you get to college. I've lost like 20 pounds since I came here, and that's WITH Cornell's good food.

Normally people gain about 15 pounds as freshmen; I have never been normal.

Brockport's food is better.

Would be the reason why I've put on near 25 pounds.

Yeah, the only problem with it is that everyone thinks I am worried about my weight, and that I am going to become some tiny little stick man. First off, I'm 230 pounds right now, so I've got a reason to want to lose some pounds, and I've got a long way to go until I'm a stick man. Personally, I'd like to drop to the 200-210 range, and just sit there.

I was I think 208 when I got here and I've dropped to 190, and the last time I checked the scale was like a month ago, so I'm doing good. Twenty more and I'll be satisfied.

Well since we are on the topics of concerts, my first one was to a HUM concert. Pure awesomonium! We had a group of like 7 guys and we started running up and down the center of crowd. Slowly the crowd backed away and we had a clear path. Security faces were no longer the stone faces that you normally see, they literally didn't know what to think. We continued running, and then we stopped. The lead singer actually stumbled for a second and laughed. We all charged at the stage, and security flipped! 3 of us made it onto the stage and dived off, the rest of us just fell on our faces over the fence. I was only 14 then okay. Luckily they didn't kick us out, just told us to chill and enjoy the show. I think its mainly because the lead singer laughed about the whole deal. I will never forget that night.

Also, I should note, I'm going to another concert this weekend. Wreckage Before March. They're a highschool band, but I'd say they're pretty good for 10th graders.

Wreckage Before March's MySpace Page

I was feeling a little bored, but writing this post has made me reminisce and feel all happy and ready to go to see Wreckage! w00t!

Sexy.
And also right in front of me. I was as close as you could get to the stage and directly in front of him.

Bummed.
Home Depot is going to close their Frankfort store.

That leaves me with Lyon's "DoIt Best" (if you want to spend 3 times as much as you should) Home Center and Lowes.

I hate Lowes with a blood-boiling passion. You can never find anything in there, the clerks never know anything, and any time you ask a clerk to do something for you (like cut some chain or mix paint), they act like you're inconveniencing them.

At Home Depot, you could never find a clerk, but when you did, they were more than happy to help. It's almost like they were lost in the store and are all like "hey, I'll help you with whatever you want provided you help me find the front door."

Maybe you just have a terrible Lowe's.

I mean, I hate them both equally, but it's always seemed to me that Lowe's is just Home Depot with a blue color scheme rather than an orange one, and vice versa.

But maybe all the good clerks who lose their Home Depot jobs will go to Lowe's instead. :)

It seems like it's that way with every Lowe's I've been in; Paintsville KY, Frankfort KY, Bowling Green KY, Lexington KY, Huntsville AL, Birmingham AL, Mobile AL...

Well there's your problem. You gotta get up North where the TRUE home improvement happens.

I bet none of those Lowe's had a delicious Philly Cheese steak restaurant trailer parked outside of them, did they? Like ours does?

When I was an undergrad, I had a professor that said he'd give me an automatic A in his class if I would announce that INS was in the building one Saturday afternoon (I worked at Wal-Mart. We didn't have any illegals working there, but there were almost certainly a lot shopping there).

Also, the one in Mobile AL had some fairly hot college type girlies from South Alabama.

I'm feeling really good right now. This week has been somewhat of a turn around week for me, and I think it's just the thing I need to boost me to the end of the school year with good grades. I was doing poorly in school, and this week I completely turned it around.
I did over 25 math assignments, spreading it out all over the week. That brought my grade up over 100 points, probably about 5%. Then, as if they are related, or something, we took a test today, and I understood it all, and I think I did really well.
I also have defined about 1500 words all week, just from past vocabulary sheets that I haven't done, and the biggie one for history.
I have a feeling I will be able to pull an A out of all my classes. Except for Humanities, of course...I can't write very well. And I don't think he likes me all that much. He's still making me revise our summer assignment essay. I think I have re-written it over thirty times now. But I'll get a B out of that class. Watch me.

Thanks to your post StrongRad, I feel slightly sad. When you said, Nazi, it reminded me that there will be no Nazis in the Lego Indiana Jones game. :-|

Kinda like in the Indiana Jones stunt show at Disney (which my wife says I don't get to watch this time).
She said I had to choose between Lights, Motors, Action and the Indiana Jones show...

That's just mean.

My group had to make the same decision when I was there last month. We chose the Indiana Jones show. I liked it a lot.
