I'm feeling somewhat sick...I just ate most of a medium-sized chocolate bunny. It tasted heavenly, but bleh...

Freakin' SaberCats lost. But I'm mehish because obviously they suffered a tough loss, but they are still winning their division, and I got to see Will Pettis get nearly paralyzed.

Growing up is BAD kids.

Actually, this is the only bad part, nevermind, carry on, this final phrase is so that I don't end with a preposition.

That's not a good thing.

I'm feeling okay. I have a few hours to myself, so I'm watching a ton of Comedy Central and doing a ton of foruming. I'm close to becoming the top poster at one.

I do feel like I was a tad irresponsible drinking soda over an expensive laptop. Dude, if I sipill it, there's 1K down the drain for me.

Yes it is. If you followed Arena Football, you'd understand how great it is. If it was anyone else, it would be tragic. But it's not somebody else.

And he didn't literally almost get paralyzed. He just got jammed by Marques Floyd and it took him a while to get up. There was almost a fight on the turf, making it better.

Today is a great day. For the first time since late January, I don't have to stay late at school to rehearse for the play.
AND. Today's a late day at school, so even though I am awake at 6:30AM, I really don't have to leave until about 7:50-8:00.

Glorious.

Pretty stressed. Let's just say today was one of those days that makes you cry so hard your head hurts.

Post subject:  Re: How are you feeling?

I'm feeling fairly meh...again. Over the last week or two, I have lost a lot of interest in playing lacrosse. I mean, I like throwing around and such, but playing and practicing for it isn't really hyping me up like it used to. It may be because I've been so useless to the team for most of the practice due to my shin splints (which have hopefully healed over break), or it may be because I haven't gone to practice for a week and a half or so, or it may even just be the fact that I'm not a fan of coaches and their methods, but whatever it is, I'm just not feeling the ways of the game anymore.

Of course, this feeling has happened to me before, but when I go into practice the following day, I always start to feel better and more hyped by the sport. But I dunno anymore...the coach has been awfully strict as of late (which I suppose is because not a lot of people showed up for the optional practices over Spring Break), and it makes me feel bad to see my friends getting punished for what is partially my fault. A lot of this probably has to do with the fact that my lifestyle has almost always reflected that of a lazy white kid who likes to work on a computer all day and not really worry much about the outside world unless it has to relate to my friends or writing, as well.

If I decided to quit the team though, I'd probably regret it; the urge to play the game would bite back at me hard. It'd basically be like Chekt a few days ago when he said he was quitting the Forums, but the post he made about it was enough to keep him as a regular here. Plus, there's been a lot of money spent on gear and such for this sport, and it'd be kinda wasteful to never use half of it again.

Post subject:  Re: How are you feeling?

Don't quit. If you and your coach think you're useless, prove yourself and your coach wrong. Work harder. And if you have shin splints that are bothering you, rehabilitate yourself.

I've quit one sport before, and I regretted it big time. Keep playing. Don't let petty stuff bother you.

Post subject:  Re: How are you feeling?

The coach doesn't think I'm useless, I just assume that I am because of not really being able to do anything for practice without winding up limping a few minutes later.

I told myself that I do want to work on the sport even with my "injury" (which occurred after our meager warm up laps and kept me out the other hour and a half of practices) over Spring Break, but I kept holding it off as usual to focus on things that are more important in my mind. Lacrosse is definitely not too high on my totem pole of interests anymore, but I still want to work on it.

What I hoped to do over Spring Break was basically work out every part of my body besides my legs since the athletic trainers at the school told me to not mess with them too much, and I really wanted to just find a wall and slam the ball against it for a long time, but the problem is that there's no walls that I can legally bounce hard rubber balls off of in my general walking vicinity, and I was too lazy over Spring Break to explore outside my normal boundaries.

Now that "official" practice is going on again, I'm basically more out of shape than I hoped to be by the end of Spring Break; I haven't really worked out all too much as of late, and I surely haven't run for more than a half a mile for at least three weeks.

Meh, I dunno.

I'm feeling defeated! I usually have very little will to go to my first period class (English) and today I just couldn't find any will to be there. I'm not sure why I have to go to this class that does not apply to my future. I'd love to be able to dump it and replace it with a Grade 12 math or re-take Grade 11 physics (I passed, but only just). Ughldfj.

Blarg. Turns out the cold that I've had on and off for the past 3 weeks is a sinus infection. So on top of the LAN party I missed last week, I also have to miss a week of crew (rowing for you not-sporting-gentlepersons) during the part of the season where missing too many days almost guarantees a lousy spot. Fortunately, I don't really plan on rowing in college, so it's not the end of the world. Just very frustrating.

I can't stand sinus infections. They're awful. Hope you get better quickly!

^Thanks guys. :)

I just found out today that, after the examination was done and all, the doctor told my mom something around the lines of "Good thing you came today, he's on the verge of pneumonia."

Eeep.

Pretty good.

I'm on spring break, the fresh air is coming in from outside my room, I'm listening to Joy Electric and I went on an 8.2-mile bike ride today.

Sorry, Disk, if I come across as a hypocrite to you, but I'm very angry. And I am quitting baseball. Some idiots wanted to replace my coach, and I don't cater to idiots. Thus, my season is done...

Well crap, after my sleep deprivation kicked me in the buttocks and prevented me from trying out lacrosse practice again today, I have the urge to play again. Sorry to hear about your situation though, Abu; you may want to give it a bit more time, though.

You're absolutely right. In fact, I was gonna go to another 2 practices to try this guy out, but I'm almost positive I'm gonna dislike it. Kids kept on quitting anyways, so we probably won't even have a full roster even if I continued playing.

I'm okay, I suppose. Still have a crapload left of that book I have to read, but I like my CD purchase and I believe that my dad will enjoy Monty Python and the Holy Grail for his 60th birthday. I hope. It's the special edition with all those hilarious special features, but I don't know. For all I know, it could be like my Father's Day gift last year of my drawing of Old Comiskey Park that I never saw again when I gave it to him.

But it was a steal for $16, so why the heck not? Fit my $25 limit.
