I'm feeling pretty meh again. Since I'm declared "injured" for lacrosse until after Spring Break (the 24th), I'm not supposed to run at all during that time.

Well, I missed most of practice today since I fell asleep, but I managed to get down to the school for the very final part of it. (I had to return someone's shorts since we swapped so he could play in the game yesterday, but he's probably never going to give me mine back). When we were walking back to the locker room, my friend and I decided to cheer for our friend for a bit during her tennis practice, and our lacrosse coach apparently didn't take too kindly to that. Now my friend and I apparently have to run extra laps and do sprints during tomorrow's practice...which is basically impossible for me to do at this point in time without bursting into pain.

The coach wouldn't accept my alternative of "hundreds of pushups", either. Crap...

Let my tell you about my day yesterday. ( I would have posted yesterday but there was literally no time.)

Firstly I had to stay back at uni to do a group assignment, which was not so bad. But then I had to run to catch the next train.
I got to the station at 2.30 and waited a while before realising I should buy a ticket because I don't know when the ticket inspectors patrol the later train. As I was using the machine a train came so I got on without buying a ticket.
As the train went past the major station in the area i decided to hide in the toilets in case the inspector came past (this is the time they usually inspect my usual train). There were no toilets on this train. So I found an empty carriage and lied down on a seat so the inspector might think it was completely empty.
I got up later and looked around, the train was at a station which I will refer to from now on as 'Bumtown', as this is an accurate description of the place. The train left Bumtown and started veering off to the left, going down a different track. Yep, I was on the wrong train.
I got off at the first station and ran to the driver's carriage and asked a guard how to get back to the right track.
He said to get back on, the train loops around every two hours. Thankfully he didn't ask to see my ticket. At the next station he came into my carriage and told me there was a train going the other way. I thanked him and ran and caught this train back to Bumtown.
At the Bumtown station I read the timetable and the next train going the right way was almost an hour away. There were a bunch of local kids spread across all the seats that were in the shade, so I leaned against the side of the station building out of the way.
After a few minutes this man came slowly to the station and stood near me. I thought nothing of it, except that it was strange that he was wearing a hooded jacket while I was sweating to death in a t-shirt.
After a few more minutes he started talking to me. I turned off my music and started talking to him, he discussed a few bible stories with me, I told him I was familiar with all of them. He then brought up a few weird ideas that I disputed and we started discussing various aspects of religion. He seemed surprised that I was actually listening to him. Normally I ignore guys like this, but I was really bored.
He told me he thought the Jews were right, but Jesus was wrong, and eventually that he himself was the actual messiah. I fought the urge to laugh. I challenged him with some questions, most of which he answered "I don't know" after a long pause.
Then a train came. I was distracted by the man, so I didn't realise it was the wrong train. That's right, I went the wrong way AGAIN!
The man kept talking to me, but was becoming less and less convincing (not that I believed him in the first place) and I got bored. I noticed I was on the wrong train and got off at the next station.
I knew the next train the right way would be another hour away as I had probably missed the last one. I was at a station in an industrial area, so I went up to a group of factory workers and asked them how to get to the right place. They said the quickest way would be going back to Bumtown and waiting another hour.
I was sick of this, so I called my Dad and told him to meet me at Bumtown. My phone battery was very low, but I didn't think I'd need it again. This was at about ten past four.
He said he would be 15 minutes. 10 minutes or so later I caught the train to Bumtown. I waited another 10 minutes or so before I called him again. He said there was a big accident on the freeway, so he would be going the back way, and would be another 15 minutes. I told him in that case I would just catch the train, because I had to get to work by 5.15, then hung up.
I then looked at the timetable at the station and realised the next train was way more than 15 minutes away. I called my Dad again and asked him to pick me up anyway.
He said to wait on the main bridge in Bumtown and wait for him. Not wanting to die of heat stroke, I stood in the shadow of a traffic light. But the residents of Bumtown kept walking past me and looking at me funny, so I waited somewhere more out of the way, and in the shade.
My Dad finally came a few minutes after he said he would, and it was a good thing I saw him, as he parked near the bridge and didn't see me. He took me home and we got there just after 5.
My usual half-hour train ride had taken me two and a half hours. I realised work didn't start until 5.45 so I had time to get changed and eat a nutritious dinner of grilled cheese sandwiches before I left. I worked until late and came home and slept. I really needed to after all of that.

So that was my day. I would have posted this Friday night, but as I said, I really needed sleep. If anyone read through this whole thing, good work.
So how am I feeling? Pretty good actually, I do like it when interesting things happen to me. At least things aren't boring and mundane.

Strangely sad.
Not upset, just slightly bummed.

The batteries in my TV remote died and I had to replace them.

Why does this make me sad? These batteries had been in the remote since I bought the TV back in January of 2002.

6 years isn't bad for batteries. You have to realize that, when I first used these batteries, we weren't at war in Iraq and most people liked George Bush.
Holly and I weren't even thinking about marriage, the forum and the Wiki weren't here, and a couple of my friends were alive that aren't now.

Whoa...

Man that would be awesome. I'd buy it.

Also, what brand Tele was that? I believe I recall some Sunrise batteries coming with a remote once. We chunked 'em though. All free batteries we have ever gotten were complete crap.

What can you expect when you're downloading something as high quality as a midi file? Rome wasn't downloaded in a day, you know.

Argh. I really want to play and beat Zelda 3 tonight, but I am bogged down with lots of homework. Well, not lots, but one I don't really know how to do and the other is a narrative. If any of you guys knows what the heck that little m/u means, let me know. I have no clue and it's killing me.

Pretty good. Just listened to a new cd I got. I was sad to find that I didn't like the last song too much, but I was very pleasantly surprised when I found the hidden song to be an acoustic version of my favorite on the album. God, that song is beautiful.

A little annoyed. =| I should've gotten my direct deposit pay from work today, but my bank balance still says $0.66. Unless I managed to somehow break certain laws of the universe and I worked 0 hours for the 20 hours I worked, this should not be.
