These clearly have lateral veins and will kill me. That was the immediate lesson of his death, you see. But the more important lesson was that you all are awesome! :D

Angela, my oldest sister was expressing plans to go to Iran for Christmas. And now she's serious about it. And i'm worried (i think it's justified.) I don't want her and Dean (the long term boyfriend) to be kidnapped by Iranian militia-men. Because they are both white. Obviously so. Angela can get away with being a bit Eastern, but Dean is just about as British-looking as it gets.

So i'm in a bit of a lame mood about that.

Oh hooray for having a ridicuous family.

Let me just let out an "OH CRAP" right here. We just got a call from the school district saying that one of the students at my school got MRSA. We'll here again to see if school is gonna get closed on Tuesday.

Some kid at my school got MRSA sometime in late October. School wasn't cancelled, though.

My school is cheap.
There's a rumour I'm guessing this is how non-Americans spell it going around that there are nine people with MRSA and if one more gets it, school is closed and they might take away some days from... uh... is it... holiday break? Or winter break?

Hey, it's a big school.

I believe I've posted in that fonts/emoticons thread how I feel.

School should have been closed already if nine kids got it. At least, that's how the over hyped press surrounding this topic thinks it should be.

As I said, it's a rumour.

They disinfected the locker rooms a while ago for MRSA. Locker rooms smelled clean (and therefore disgusting) after that.

I love the local Fox stations.
They resisted the urge to show crap and chose, instead, to air the Packers game.

My school has about a thousand.

But still, it's like my school wants to cut every single fiscal corner to still get everything, yet seem to screw themselves. I mean, isn't it a little redundant to have IDs even when all the entrances have cameras installed?

BURN.

In response to the above post, it's a little more than a little redundant to have IDs. My school says that they're going to "constantly" check if you have your ID with you, but if you don't buy lunch IDs are completely unnecessary.

As for how I'm feeling, I'm looking forward to the lack of school tomorrow.

Well, it DOES help catch those pesky shapeshifters.

What happen?

Did your furnace try to set you up the silent, in-sleep death?

Indeed, and it almost worked (no detector).

I did absolutely nothing at the hospital for the six hours I was there though. All I had to do was breathe into an oxygen mask and get my blood drawn twice...and pee into a plastic container.

However, in the glorious amount of free time I had there, I managed to notice that a hole in the ceiling resembled a cartoon blowfish.

Dag, yo...
How'd you get out? Did someone/something wake you all up?

Everyone here, if you have any gas appliances OR a fireplace, make sure your house has one or more Carbon Monoxide detectors.

Eh, if you never use it, it's really sort of a non-issue.

However, seeing as how it's been 4 years since you've used it, it'd be wise of your folks to get the chimney cleaned/inspected. There's bound to be plenty of bird nests and stuff like that in there.

We don't really have a chimney, per se. Instead we have a pipe and if something can fit down there, well, it'd be dead by now.

Yeah, but no one wants dead birds in their... house... pipe....

Over the weekend I had about three times as much homework to complete than usual. And I still don't have it done.

Thank you, procrastination and the Internet.
