Wow, we just started and you're already pointing fingers all over the place? Sorry, but you seem a little too eager to accuse people. Besides, you haven't presented any evidence for yourself. You're just as likely to be the Mafia as anybody.

True. Everybody is a suspect. But the thing is we've got to find somebody slightly more suspect than the rest. Even if it's not much, going defensive makes you just slightly more suspect.
We will most likely to wait and see a bit before we can truly accuse someone, rather than chopping random heads.

Which is why I haven't said much defensively. I'm trying to keep a neutral perspective, as I'm not sure about anyone. I'm only pointing out possibilities. I voted for Homerun because I have to vote for someone, and it seems a bad idea to vote for someone with absolutely no reasoning. (And Homerun, who has had quite a bit of experience with Mafia from what I understand, would understand those psychological points.)

I have to vote for someone. You understand that, I'm sure. Everyone, theoretically, is supposed to vote for someone.

Eager to accuse people? Ahem:

Aside from you, the only thing I've done is to stop people from accusing. That seems to be the exact opposite of what you're saying, if you ask me. You, on the other hand, seem to be digging very deep for any reason to accuse the one who accused you. Coincidence?
Homerun Starrer wrote:

As for the rest of that, I can throw every bit of it right back at you. And add to it that you are incredibly defensive all of the sudden.

If I get voted off, I get voted off. But, since you want me to provide some evidence, I'll give what I can:

It seems to me that I'm doing the most saving of people of anyone - just think, if not for me, topofsm would have been accused, and Jones' Girl as well. Would a mafia member try to prove people not to be mafia, unless they were protecting other mafia members? I think we can all agree that topofsm, at least, is probably not mafia.

Also, it would not be a smart idea for a mafia to post as much as I have, since, as we can already see, I've been placed on the chopping block twice already for being voted off, while many people have avoided accusation by simply not posting. This would be a stupid position for a mafia member to put himself in.

There's my evidence. It's not much, but there's really not much evidence anyone can give right now. What about you, Homerun? Where's your evidence, since you brought it up?

I have none, and neither do you. That's my point: it's the beginning of the game, everyone is equally suspect. Honestly, the story could mean anything. It could be a non-sequiter to throw us off.

Chinchindrich has already said it doesn't mean anything.

Another thing I'd like to point out is that, if topofsm was in the maffia, that post probably wouldn't have fooled him, as the maffia don't usually kill each other, as far as I know, and a detective investigation wouldn't have put him in the hospital. Score a point toward topofsm not being maffia.

Oh? What's this about not mentioning the story?

Let's just stop fighting, people. We're not getting anywhere. Wait until we have more evidence before we start making theories.

Well, that technically wasn't part of the story. It was a "Hah! I fooled you!" added to the end. I take that as unintentional evidence, m'self.

But, you're right, we need more evidence. The only problem is that we won't get any until we move the game forward another step and lynch somebody, which is why I went ahead and took the random vote. When we learn the mafia's next victim, we'll have a better idea who the mafia is. It's a horrible way to gather evidence, but the only option I can see.

I dunno. Saying people aren't mafia kind of accuses yourself. What if I or Jones' Girl really is a mafia, and you're just defending them? Then if we get voted out as mafia, you're screwed.

That's true, but I'm taking that risk. I'm looking at it logically, and using the closest things we have to evidence, none of which can ever be intentional, to start the process of elimination. My point, though, was that I'm not being quick to accuse people, like Homerun said I was.

Yeah, it's useless for us to be arguing. Lets just pick some random person to lynch and all of us active people will vote for them. It doesn't matter who, we just need to chosoe someone and stick with it.

Pick at random? Don't you think that we should think this through a little? Step it out, err step by step? It would give more evidence, and give us a better chance than picking at random.

Anyhoo...

PurpleKoopa was walking around with his good friend Susan, when they saw Jones' Girl walk into a bar. They sat down with her, and began to discuss current events and the like. Time passed, people came and left, and it got pretty boring. They must've drank a collective 242 root beers before the author felt like continuing the plot of this little story. Jones' girl looked up and thought, Man, things are pretty boring around here. I wish something would happen. Almost like magic, the barkeeper, topofsm, slumped over from a...weasel bite. He was rushed to the hospital, where, unfortunatly, they couldn't save Capt. Ido Nos in the next bed over.

HAH! Bet I fooled you toppy! Anyway, the point is, the Capt. is dead, slipping me fives doesn't work very well, and you guys need to form an angry mob and kill someone. I'll provide the torches and pitchforks. :p

EDIT: This does NOT mean that toppy was saved. It was a minor plot point that I thought up. And this stories have nothing to do with who's who.

Well, first of all, we need to pick out the small parts. Look at this:

Quote:
Time passed, people came and left, and it got pretty boring.

Did you ever think of the possibility that one of those few that came and left was the perp? And none of the main plot in there was the criminal? But then we would have to do what Ju Ju suggested, pick at random.

I'm just thinking it was Jones' Girl though, I don't know why. I HAVE A HUNCH! :p

Yes, but with so little evidence in the first round, it's hard to figure out who is who.

Well, the story doesn't mean anything, but, even if it did, we can't get any evidence from it, seeing as the crime didn't happen in the bar. Capt. Ido Nos was already in the hospital when we first saw him, and we have no idea how long he had been there. On the other hand, we can, as I already pointed out, use the small details to find out who the perp might not be, such as the detail I pointed out about toppy. (Of course, this still doesn't say for sure that toppy isn't mafia, but it's a pretty good sign of it, if you ask me.) If we eliminate those who can't be mafia, we have a better chance of choosing someone who is.

Good point. It might be a hint from Chichindrich. After all, in my last game I incorporated mafia in each story.

But, I don't really think the story has to do with anything.

Someone in the story is just as good as someone else. I really don't care, but we've gotta do something. We're looking too far into the story, we're not going to get any information this early in the game. Someobody just pick someone, whether they were in the story or not it doesn't really matter, we should just get this game rolling.

Even though I'm dead, I will remain resolute in my stance of Chichi being the mafia. So there.

Not really. Bump'D!

What I hate about this game is, whatever you say, it can make you seem like a mafia. See, even this sentence makes me look like I'm trying to fit into a regular townsperson persona and say something that wouldn't sound mafia-ish.

Where's chichindrich?

Hey, I happened to have internet for a minute, so I figured I'd give my formal resignation, since I won't be around for the next three months. Vote me out if you want, or whatever. I'm sure the game will be over when I get back, but I'll play again when I get the chance.

Chichi's alarm went off. Slamming it grumpily, he crawled out of bed. Life as a mayor was pretty trying at the moment. Alll he did was not wake up for two weeks, and the citizens think he's dead or something. And now they wanted him to kill somebody! Just because his hospital couldn't treat two people at the same time! Suddenly everybody was crying "The mafia are here!". Stupid whiny townspeople. Sighing, ChiChi checked his mail, and sure enough, the townies were grumpy. He went outside to the crowd that had been developing while rumors of his death were circulating. Adressing the crowd, he said, "Look, I'm in a bad mood. There's no creative story this time. As mayor, I give you the stinking permission to lynch Jones' Girl. NOW LEAVE ME ALONE!" And so, without further ado, the crowd went and legally, in probaby some hilarious fashion, killed Jones' Girl.

But she wasn't mafia. Stinks to be you. :p Recommence voting, mafia and them!
