The greatest light is a band of old people that wanted to whip young bufoons into shape

Phobic

Author:  topofsm [ Fri Apr 21, 2006 1:12 am ]
Post subject:

Phobic is a strange metal band. They speak illegible english in their lyrics, and all their music videos consist of them throwing rusty stapled steaks at kittens, little kids, and anyone who looks remotely like Shatner. Their music is pretty cool.

They're this one keytar band that has an entire "paint balloon" section, consisting of 3 guys who throw balloons full of paint around. Fun stuff.

It's just pieces of bread on instruments, the manager thinks they can play folk music

sm's revenge

Post subject:  dadadah...

Sm's Revenge is a band that plays songs entirely on acoustic guitar. While they are quite talented, they don't have enough annoying sythnesizers to be accepted by the general public.

Potente Nada

A deep (voice) house band best known for their singles "Reverted to Fanon," "Of Rags and Tags," "Oh Me Oh My," and "This is Darth Katana X's 100th Post." Their lyrics are really cryptic, and they sometimes call them selves "techemopop."

Somehow it still says it's my 99th post...now it ain't.

DKX: a new, collage band! They might get a big record break, and sell there CD's on all the channels, even the "Non stop news station" (it will be on the scrolley thing on the bottom).

Teh 1337 G4ng!

Author:  Bulldozer [ Sat Apr 22, 2006 12:00 am ]
Post subject:

Teh 1337 G4ng is a local garage band made up of computer geeks. Since they know nothing of music apart from how to code it in 0's and 1's, they are a really un-1337 group. No one comes to their concerts except for one of the members' deranged geeky girlfriend.

Short Bus

The Short Bus is a group of people that try to play instruments, and they kind of gargle instead of sing. They met whilst going to school. Obviously, they rode the same bus.

Some Random Friday (i almost named my band that)

Author:  DESTROY US ALL! [ Sat Apr 22, 2006 12:55 am ]
Post subject:

Some Random Friday is a game-show theme song coverband. Their hit single "The Price Better Be Right" dominated the billboard top 3,000,000 for almost 10 minutes. Recently their triangle player Skid Moneys left for an acting part on a now syndicated television show. No on ehas heard of him since.

Twisted Sockpuppet

Author:  Bulldozer [ Sat Apr 22, 2006 1:02 am ]
Post subject:

Twisted Sockpuppet is the brand new band put together by PBS in an effort to promote their network. They sing for the new kid's show, "Jeremy's Kidplace." They're really The Wiggles, who are using this alias to get on the air again. The show dies after only 3 episodes.

The Giant Plague of the Black Death Which Has Come to Haunt Us All - otherwise known a TGPOTBDWHCTHUA

Author:  Marshmallow Roast [ Sat Apr 22, 2006 2:08 am ]
Post subject:

TGPOTBDWHCTHUA recorded a CD. It was a good CD. Each track was one note. But, as an added twist, that note was repeated over and over in an irregular pattern, with a weird, hollow synthesizer and an echo.

Young, Trendy, and Overpaid

A new group composed of Lindsay Lohah, Hillary Duff, and Britney Spears-type girls. Their music sucks, but all the fanboys buy their albums so they can lech over the cover pics.

The Nukular Pizza Mashers.

Author:  Bulldozer [ Sat Apr 22, 2006 2:22 am ]
Post subject:

The Nukular Pizza Mashers are a mosh-pit style metal band. In tribute to their name, they actually spin pizza dough with one hand and play instruments with the other. Their lyrics were bad, but no one can understand that type of singing, anyway, so it was ok. They topped out at number 93 on the charts.

Chucks

Author:  Bulldozer [ Sat Apr 22, 2006 2:38 am ]
Post subject:

A no-name group that tried to be cool by dressing as ninjas and swinging around nunchucks while they performed. Unfortunately, while practicing their ninja moves, they forgot to practice their music, and bombed on their first show.

The Ladies Crimson

An acoustic rock band from the Dirty South, with a one-hit wonder called "Tables of Disaster." Nobody knows what it's about, but it sounds stupid.

Blueberry Stick

A Synth Death Metal band with a female lead singer. (and a prooty hot one at that--no corn flakes hot glued to HER face).

The Schliekterlangers.

Author:  Darth Katana X [ Sat Apr 22, 2006 5:11 am ]
Post subject:

That's exactly what I was thinking. I imagined "One More Time" screamed out, freaky.

Anyway, Blueberry Stick is a plain alternative retro synthpop band, but there's only one member and he doesn't like duets, he'd rather just dream them up. It's called "Blueberry Stick" because the guy has some sort of blueberry obsession, and "stick" because all the effects come from moving the joystick in an old arcade game, but Long John Coleman (the band's one member) denies any tie-ins with video games.

Stain'd!

Author:  Bulldozer [ Sat Apr 22, 2006 5:17 am ]
Post subject:

Stain'd is a band who appears often in Teen Girl Squad comics. They don't sing much, so no one knows much about their style, except that they have long hair and really tricked-out looking guitars. They spend most of their time pouring staining beverages on the Teen Girl Squad's shirts, and Strong Bad yells their names.

Jimmy Bowls for Soup...sorry, can't think of anything good.

Author:  Bulldozer [ Sat Apr 22, 2006 6:17 am ]
Post subject:

Jimmy Bowls for Soup were a charity band. It was formed from a group of musicians at a local community college. The band did benifit concerts to raise money for food for their friend Jimmy while he was awaiting surgery and unable to work. After his surgery, the moderately popular band disbanded.

Osama bin Rappin'

Author:  Checkot Fige [ Sun Apr 23, 2006 5:14 am ]

Terrible band with absolutely no talent. Lead singer is fantastically monotone and the band members play a single note on their instruments. Songs are about completely idiodic subjects, with inaudible lyrics. Music videos are chock-full of scantily-clad women.

They make millions.

Robomanager and the Lemongrooves

Author:  Bulldozer [ Sun Apr 23, 2006 5:32 am ]
Post subject:

Robomanger and the Lemongrooves are a band of hippies. Because their parents were also hippies, they are made of Robomanger Smith, Lemongroove Grainger, and Lemongroove Goldstone. They sing strange music about pickles and trees, but still manage to work up some popularity at woodstock. They die with the fad.

a one-hit-wonder band that wrote a single about a mother to be who takes a pregnancy test. Though it's only clear that she is a mother-to-be at the end of the song. They would have been more popular, had they not been next-door to the building of the oklahoma bombing. They didn't die, but were made fearful of music.
