The Comeback Game
The Comeback Game. It started as just another forum game, nothing amazing about it. It started slow, with just a few people consistently posting in it. No one had any idea it would become one of the most popular forum games of all time.
The Comeback Game started with posts consisting of simple ‘yo mama’ jokes, which is sort of how it ended. Most people often used small, less creative comebacks, not taking time to create truly soulful comebacks. But soon, however, there was a new poster that came to The Comeback Game and became one of the most famous comebackers ever to post. His name was JohnTheTinyCowboy.
John was a new member to the forum when he first posted in The Comeback Game. Like most he started with an unimaginative comeback- “Your MOM’S a joik!”- but that didn’t last long. As the game grew, so did John.
At first, The Comeback Game was nothing but another game thread with but a few posts, but it soon evolved into one of the most popular and most-posted-in threads ever. You began to see more and more posts that were creative and inventive. People started to put effort into their comebacks, and no one did that more so than JohnTheTinyCowboy. John began to show more talent than any other comebacker, and it would soon earn him the title of Comeback Game Ruler.
Eventually, The Comeback Game changed from a simple exchange of insults to an all-out war. People began trying to prove themselves as ruler of The Comeback Game. At first, everyone attempted to convince everyone else that they were the true ruler. But soon, people began to see that John was the real Comeback Game Ruler. No one recognized this at first, they still tried to sell themselves as the ruler of comebackery, but John’s talent soon became undeniable. His title as Ruler of The Comeback Game would eventually be sealed.
Most Comeback Game posters would not accept John’s greatness, but it was soon clear to everyone that he was truly the greatest comebacker. Their were always people who could post a good comeback once in a while, but no one would post good comebacks as consistently as JohnTheTinyCowboy. It took a while for all the Comeback Game poster renegades to be defeated by John, but on November 12, in the year of two thousand and five, JohnTheTinyCowboy finally claimed victory, and his rightful place as Ruler of The Comeback Game.
The Comeback Game started on January 19, 2005. It ended with over 8,000 posts and over 270 pages of posts. It will go down in forum history as one of the most famous and amazing forum games ever to take place, and JohnTheTinyCowboy will go down in forum history at the immortal Ruler of The Comeback Game. As JohnTheTinyCowboy, the Comeback Game ruler himself said, as he wiped away a tear of victory, “It’s over”.
