Oh sweet, I have ten years for this one.
ROUND EIGHT: WINGLESS
Jones' Girl was flying above the city, her snow-white hair flying behind her. Her hair was usually black, but during the night's, something overcame her and she turned into a whole different person. It was similar to the transformation the wolves make, but instead of turning into a snarling beast, she turned into something else - an angel, almost.
She hovered for a minute, looking down on all of the buildings. Greenings Tower stood high above the tiny cabins. Smithwood, the marketplace, was quiet and empty. The Chandler Inn, which, oddly enough, was the prison, looked as gloomy as it did during the day. She looked around for another minute and then continued to fly to Grennings Tower.
She gently landed on the side of the tower pointing West and found what she was looking for: the launch site. There was a voice that was talking to her, saying "The shuttle. Go to the shuttle. They need you at the shuttle." and other things. Jones' Girl, always being one to follow her instincts, did waht the voice said. She would soon regret this.
----
Three wolves were at the launch site. They all had jet-black hair. One of them was bulky and especially hairy. The second wolf was small with neatly-kept hair. The third had blood-red eyes.
"How long is this going to take?" The red-eyed wolf snarled. "Sooner or later one of those humans is gonna come over here and rip us all a new one..."
"Exactly the reason I'm here, Williams," The bulkier wolf replied. "Any of them come anywhere near here and they won't make it back to their cabins."
"Good to see somebody's not calling me Euk'gfldo anymore. Gotta get used to the codename." Williams mumbled.
"I still think that "Eric Williams" is a vile, disgusting name. You should not be ashamed of your heritage." The small wolf quietly spoke up.
"Who said I was ashamed, hon?" Williams walked over to the small wolf. "Besides, shouldn't you be doing something else other than chewing me out? Something like getting this shuttle to open up?"
"I am almost finished," the small wolf growled. "Now remember, the humans are lazy, gullible, and inferior. I spent 25 years among them and infiltrated their government and not once did they suspect a thing. Your task is the same as the one I was assigned. It is a very important task, and there is-"
"-no going back, I know!" Williams rolled his eyes. "The big guy already lectured me about this."
Jones' Girl was watching from the bushes, listening to every word that was being spoken. "Go forward...you must go forward and stop them!" the voice in the back of her head was telling her. "Very well." she thought as she flew out of the bushes.
"What was that?" the bulky wolf interrupted the others' argument. "Something just went up in the air." The bulky wolf yelled.
"I think you're seeing things." Williams rolled his eyes and laid down.
"Shh..." the bulky wolf scanned the skies. He then quietly ran over behind the shuttle. Jones' Girl laughed as she swooped down onto the wolf, making him scream in pain. "AGH! GET IT OFF OF ME!" HE YELLED
The bulky wolf slapped Jones' Girl across the face, sending her flying into another bush. Before she could rise, the bulky wolf was clawing at her face, causing blood to pour out in a stream. The blood, however, was white and shining. It just wasn't coming out of where she had been slashed, either. it was coming our of her eyes, her mouth, even a little bit coming out of her ears. The bulky wolf backed away, not belieivng what he was seeing.
And then it was over. The blood had stopped flowing and it had turned back to the normal color. Jones' Girl's hair changed from white to black. She twitched and then she stopped moving.
"Well," Williamson patted the bulky wolf on the back, "who says nothing interesting happens here?"
Jones' Girl is dead. She was the angel.
It is now a day round. This round ends on Wednesday, November 7th.
