That... really blows.

Looks like maybe we're back to the olden times in the game when the wolves were much less obvious. I shoulda stuck with Rogue. Stupid intuition :p

Way to go. You killed the wrong person. It should have been Susan instead of Ian who died!

Night 6: Getting Nowhere Fast

All of the scientists spent all of that day in deep contemplation. For many, it was contemplation about their actions that morning. They had trusted a wolf. Were they going crazy? Was there any other choice? With each passing day, it seemed that the island was eroding just one more piece of their collective sanity.
Those who had been to the tree, and then returned to hear the shocking messages from their old friend, had almost too much to think about that day. In the bio lab, there were no results that could shed light on any mysteries. "Yes, just a normal ash tree," Ex said for the third time. Einoo was having none of it.
"But it's not normal!" he argued. "It's bigger than any tree should be able to grow! And an ash? In this climate?"
"Yes, an ash. Sometimes foreign species get brought out of their climate, and then they adapt. It's natural selection."
"Don't patronize me," said Einoo. "If you saw the tree yourself, you'd see what I mean. Did I mention it can't be seen from within the forest?"
"Several times. Which means the size is probably an optical illusion. You're not going to get anything different this time," Ex said to Einoo, who was now adjusting the lens on a microscope to look again at a sample.
Einoo sighed. "I know. You're right. I just wish we had some idea of what's going on here. I feel like I'm losing my grip on reality every day. Werewolves? Gigantic magic trees? Crazy messages apparently from the future? What's next? Why doesn't this make any sense?"
"I think you need to get some rest," advised Ex. "It may not make any more sense in the morning, but maybe you'll be more ready to accept it." Einoo smiled sadly and shuffled out. It had been a long few days.
Ex stayed behind, busying himself with paperwork. When Einoo was far out of sight, he began frantically to look through the microscopes, hoping to find something new.

The five wolves slunk cautiously towards the tree. Alpha should have calmed down by now, but he would still be in a bad mood. The wolf at the head of the pack poked his head into the tree to see his master curled up, breathing evenly. "He's asleep," he whispered to his fellows. They gathered near the tree line so as not to wake him.
The meeting was short and to the point. They chose a target, and agreed that two wolves would be sent out to take care of him - after buhubs had been mysteriously killed, they couldn't be too careful. The two chosen were a young one with a greenish tinge to his brown fur, and the black-marked wolf. They descended upon the village, keeping an eye out for each other in case they were ambushed by an unseen enemy. They reached the settlement safely and stalked toward the home of their victim; one of them bounded ahead.
"Careful, Ace, they'll hear you," called out the black-marked one, but the real danger of Ace's act soon became apparent. Just before touching the door of his intended victim, Ace slammed into something solid and invisible. The black-marked wolf watched his friend recoil, then freeze, as the invisible wall briefly became a glowing shaft of white light. Ace toppled over, limbs locked, as the light faded. The black-marked wolf briefly transformed and approached his friend, placing a hand through the fur on Ace's chest. He felt no pulse. He swore under his breath, changed again, and ran back into the woods, afraid.

Laaaaaaame.

I kind of feel bad for you humans, though...maybe I should help you out.

Hehe, sucks to be you. Love that angel, though. Awesome saves.

OK, so we know Ace was a wolf, and he voted Jello. I've suspected Rogue, and he also voted Jello. So maybe there was something going on where the wolves decided to let the humans take Ian out while voting for Jello on the side. That way they wouldn't be made suspect by the vote for someone now known to be human.

(Of course, so what if I've suspected Rogue, since my suspicions turned out REAL good with Ian :p But maybe it's like a standardized test, where the answer you pick first is always the right one and you get screwed up when you switch to a different one like I did last round)

So... I'm gonna vote Rogue Leader this round. For real this time.

What makes you so positive Jello's a human?

Author:  Inverse Tiger [ Thu Aug 16, 2007 12:14 pm ]
Post subject:

I'm not saying he is or he isn't. Just that he's an unknown and will remain unknown for a while. Safer for a wolf to vote for him than for someone who'll be revealed as a human right afterward.

alot of people have been in the shadows so I don't know who it could be, I wasen't expecing Ace to be a wolf at all really. I don't really have to much to go on so Im going to vote for Rouge Leader

I'm still thinking that black-marked wolf is Teff. And his pairing with Ace here makes it seem even more likely. So I'm voting Teff.
