Quinn finished his omlette and entered the forest, returning with a few apples. <GM's note: It's a deciduous forest, not an apple orchard. It's not like there's apple trees everywhere. But, I'll let it slide 'casue it's conceivable that the area around the Great Oak is somehow plentifully with fruit trees.> Thurendel walked over to Maxwell and said: "I'm ready to treewalk your people to the edge of the forest now. Just let me know when you're all ready, and I can begin the incantations." |

Eruantian fell to his knees in tears. Sobbing like a child, he admitted "My parents" *sniff* "I lost my parents. I... I... I killed them..." Aurieul went to Eruantian and did her best to comfort him. When his sobbing had slowed (assuming this happens to speed things along - correct me if I'm wrong) she prodded him a bit (kindly, of course) for the rest of the story. |

{OOC: Just disregard my earlier post.] Coren was a cat. An anthropomorphic cat. He looked to be almost fully grown, tall, slender yet somewhat muscular, short-haired orange vertical striped tabby cat.He also had blue eyes which is very rare for a cat. He donned little more than some slightly tattered green pants that came up to right below his knees and had a sword scabbard strapped onto his back. It was obvious the sword was very long and slender, and what could be seen of the gold diamond studded hilt gave the connotation that it was a fine crafted sword. Early morning time-set: After stumbling upon their camp Coren observed that everyone in the camp were asleep or very, very groggy this early in the morning, but he was prone to mistakes. He didn't want to disturb anyone, but somehow he couldn't resist taking some of the leftovers they might have laying around from what looked like a very hardy party last night and it seemed somewhat justifiable seeing as the only thing he had had in days was a diseased crow he had scavenged. He stealthily made his way to some food laying on the outskirts of the camp. "Pitiful. Partying when they could be doing something more important, like meditating, praying, or anything. Of course you have to have tolerance for diverse lifestyles. That is what Master Roshi said. Too bad he had to die, man I miss the good days..." his mind drifted off as he quietly gathered a few pieces of cold food for his sack. [OOC: I was caught up in my life, personal matters that made me leave before. I hope I can play again with my new character! If things like that ever happen again just disregard it or give someone else my character or something.] |

{ Welcome back, Wes :3 I like the new character -.o haven't seen too many anthros in a while. Hopefully Somm-1 will be around to finish Eruantian's story soon so we can stop ripping holes in the fabric of reality and the space-time continuum. } Once Acedia was finished eating her squirrel, she made her way back to camp, probably to find some source of entertainment until it was time to leave. On her way, she caught an unfamiliar scent that stopped and backtracked right at the edge of the campsite. The scent was feline - precisely what beyond that, though, Acedia couldn't tell. If she were more curious, perhaps she might've followed the trail, to see what had paid them a visit earlier this morning. The tracks couldn't be more than a few hours old - the slight rain this morning didn't dampen the scent nearly enough for the trail to be too much older. Shrugging - or approximating a similar motion as near as a wolf's body can - and yawning unabashedly, she shifted and stood upright, trotting back to camp. Maybe Taryn was up and about. Taryn was, in fact, up and about, but not really enthusiastically so. Out of boredom - or possibly to confirm her notion that she no longer really served much of a purpose - she approached Thruendel the Wise and asked him what exactly treewalking was. |

Thruendel said to Taryn: "Basicly, it means that one who treewalks can quickly travel through the roots of the trees to emerge wherever a tree stands. It's kind of like teleportation but with trees as the medium of transition." |

[OOC] Thanks! [OOC] Coren was a little while away south of camp in some bushes thinking. Thinking about his life. "How had it come to this?" he thought. One moment he had finally found a place to stay and then they killed them. It seemed as if everywhere he went he only brought trouble. First his father's kingdom, and now the kindly priests at the monastery. It could only be one thing. Someone, somewhere was after him, and it had to be a lizard man. They were the ones that started the uprise in his father's kingdom and they were the ones that raided the monastery when he was out running errands. He needed to find someplace to stay, some place where the people could defend themselves. |

[OOC: Whoa ho ho, I already have a complete backstory written for Marcus. I got an A for it in Creative Writing. Unless Coren mistakes him for someone else, then we have a problem.]
Marcus had finished his omelette, which he had held and eaten with his bare claws, when he suddenly smelled something new. Kinda friendly smell, but almost dangerously foreign. He kept his claw on the hilt of his sword as he followed the smell to the bottom of the hill and towards the bush where Coren hid. Carefully he drew his sword and held it in front of his head. "Who's in there? I don't mean no harm to yeh. Just lemme see yeh." |

[OOC]That's a nice writing piece.[/OOC] "Oh no..." said Coren as he slowly rose from the bush. Then he came to see Marcus and his pupils doubled in size. "A-A lizardman! OH NO! They've come to kill me!" He drew his sword. It was beautiful studded with diamonds all up and down the middle of the blade. "You'll never get me! I don't know why you've followed me this far, but you and those other lizards won't take me alive!" He jumped to the nearest tree and climbed it, ready to pounce if things got messy. |

The Lizzardman re-sheathed his sword. "I don't mean yeh no harm, good cat sir! I jus' wanna talk to you! What are yeh talkin' about? I fight with our band of adventurers, not the Lizzard Army." Coren jumped down, still on guard. "So you aren't part of the reptilian separatist movement in the Kingdom of Felix? Some of them have been pursuing me,for seven years now. I'm the king's son you know!" his poked his chest out in pride. "I'm sorry, It's just that I can't seem to go anywhere without some lizardmen pursuing me." He sheathed his sword and picked up his pack on the ground. "What are you doing in these woods? Of course you can guess I'm hiding..." |

As Coren spoke, Marcus just cocked his head to his side and scratched one of the ridges on top. More big words to confuse him. "Um...what are yeh talkin' about? I've lived in Skara Brae all me life. Never even heard of Felix. Name's Marcus, by the way. If you wanna know what's goin' on, we're goin' to White Dragon Peak to fix this elf guy's cold fire ring. Er somethin' like that. Shortly after becoming bipedal again, Acedia caught sight of Marcus and Tem, talking to something in a tree. Or maybe they were talking to the tree itself. And then some kind of cat-thing came out of the tree. Oh, so that's what they were talking to. Partially out of boredom, and partially out of curiosity, the short woman crossed the camp to go and see who this newcomer was. "Hey Marcus, Tem. Who's your friend?" she asked, indicating Coren. Dimly, her currently-suppressed canine mind noted that Coren's scent more or less matched those of the trail she'd found earlier. "Furthermore, what are you, newcomer?" she continued, addressing Coren. "Never seen a...whatever-you-are before." |

"I'm a catman, most of us live in the far west. That's where I came from." said Coren as he watched a bug fly by his face. He swatted at it and caught it in his paw. He continued as he toyed with it. "You see I was talking to your friend here, I assume they are your friends, and they say you are adventurers. Do you mind if I talk your leader to see if I could join you on your quest to fix this ring thing they were talking about?" |

"It's Coren Felus, illegitimate son of Felus VIII king of the Kingdom of Felix. Now if you excuse me I'm going to go talk to your leaders." Coren marched up to Maxwell and Farnham. |

"Hmm. So they do exist. Fascinating," Acedia mumbled as she watched Coren make his way over to Maxwell and Farnham. Her hands twitched slightly. "Always pictured them as being less humanoid, though," she continued to murmur, making her way rather absentmindedly back toward the tent she'd slept in. Getting Taryn's help, the girls took down the temporary lodging - might as well, since they were going to leave soon enough. "Who is that talking to Maxwell and Farnham?" Taryn asked, while pulling up tent stakes. "I think his name is Corey or something, and I think he's the bastard child of some kind of King of the cat-people. Or some such. He introduced himself but I wasn't really paying attention to what he was saying. As far as I really know or care his kind are a myth, anyway, so he could be making it up." "...Nope, he's a real catman, all right. If he were an elaborately disguised spectre, I'd be able to tell. Funny, I don't know how I've managed to go as long as I have without seeing one. I've been all over the West, too." "Is that where they come from? I think I dimly recall hearing the word 'west' come out of his mouth. Eh, whatever. The vague temptation to chase him is nigh on overwhelming, though." Acedia shrugged slightly and started to put the tent away. "Hmmm? You little minx." This earned Taryn a glare from her friend. "Oh. Dogs-and-cats thing. Right. I get it now." |

Prosper did ask for an omlette, and after gaining one sat down to eat it. It tasted dellicious, and he was tempted to ask for another. Before he could do so (he had eaten slowly to savor the taste) a strange cat-like man appeared and began speaking to Maxwell and Farnaham, rather startleing him. He jumped, never had he seen such a creature, although he wasn't truly surprised, he had no idea what the country was like and had already seen Marcus, so an anthropomorphic cat was not truly a shock, but in the morning, everything takes getting used to. |
