[OOC] Why is it that Tem always has to mentally or physically harm Eruantian when there is something wrong with him? Can't you just see how this plays out for a change instead of trying to traumatize my character?
I've given Sarge a thorough description of the drug. If any of your characters analize it, he can describe what it does and add whatever backstory elements he wants.[/OOC] |

And calling me mother. Wonderful. Sudden tears sprang to Aurieul's eyes. She tried to hold them back. "Everything's going to be fine, Eruantian. Why don't you just close your eyes and relax." Then, to Taryn, "Let's get him to Horin quick. However you think is best." I just want to curl up into a ball right now! Why did he have to say that?...breathe. We'll get him to Horin and then you can go away and have your little pityfest. Just then, Tem kicked Eruantian. "BACK OFF IDIOT!" Aurieul screamed, pushing Tem (probably with little effect). Apparently emotions mixed with being called mother had the effect of making Aurieul protective. "Can't you see he's injured? He's obviously no threat to you. Now be USEFUL or get out of the way." |

"Tem, either make yourself useful or make yourself scarce." Taryn sighed and tried to come up with some kind of plan for transporting the hallucinatory Eruantian. "We could drag him," she mused, "though it might be more comfortable, easier, and faster if we carry him almost bridal-style, with one arm under his back and one under his knees." Acedia was still attempting to get the numbing sensation to go away by rubbing her hands on her dress. It was kind of working. |

[OOC] Playing along with Eruantian's halucinations out of pity was something I had expected, though not with such passion... Interesting...[/OOC] "Mother" Eruantian called, begining to tear up "I'm sorry. I truely am. I should never have been so irresponsible that night. I'm so... so sorry." What was it that Eruantian was so apologetic about? Could it be something of his past? Something he regrets? Something... secret?... |

Tem did make himself scarce. Without making a noise, he slipped into the woods. He needed space... |

As Drek was watching all this unfold, he sighted a majestic Golden Eagle alighting upon a tree branch. It was staring at him. |

I think I liked it better when he was unconscious. I can't handle this right now. Despite her inner thoughts, Aurieul was beginning to think Eruantian had to speak his mind before he'd stop talking. So she thought she'd help him along. "What did you do?" |

"I started that fire" he sobbed "I tried to keep it under control, but it got out of hand and... and..." At that point, Eruantian nolonger had the composure to speak a full sentence. All he could do was grieve. |

Proper noticed the two woment out in the woods apparently needing help. "I'll be right back." he told Horrin. He went to see what was the matter, and was greeted by a very strange scene. Fighting back the urge to ask what happened, he waited. |

"That's what I'm here for," Taryn replied with a slight shrug. "He's not as heavy as you think, either. I suggest we let him finish hallucinating...over there, where Horin can treat his wound." Ah, Taryn. Pragmatic, focused, and completely without empathy for the current situation. She is no longer sensitive to the emotional turmoil of others, and very rarely experiences strong emotion anymore these days herself. |

As concerned as he was for Eruantian, Drek couldn't ignore the eagle watching him. He slowly approached the creature, holding his arm out. "Hello, winged one. My name is Drek. I would like to be your friend." |

"Hello, winged one. My name is Drek. I would like to be your friend." The Eagle cocked it's head inquisitively and let out a little bird-call. Drek felt he could understand that the bird wasn't afraid... it was just surprised. It spread it's wings and flapped them, and then jumped off the tree and flew down to Drek, circling over his head before landing on his arm... and then immediately jumping off again to fly back up to a tree again. <GM's Note: The bird just needs to become familiar with Drek's arm before it trusts it as a perch, that's all. Give it some time... and possibly some bird seed.> |

Tem was still getting further and further from camp. Then, he had an idea. He created a pen and ink, and started writing. Whether or not any of them could read was beyond him, but they'd better be able. The letter said: Dear Maxwell, Farnham, and all the rest, I will go the rest of the way to SM mountain alone. I'll meet you there. aksfhbaskjfbhs, Tem <I'm going to take a break from this game for a while, and I just want Tem out of the way. Until SMM, tennessee10> |

"Yes, that's it exactly," Taryn said, nodding. "Get ready and we'll lift him up at the same time." "Guys," Acedia called, generally addressing the entire group, though she was facing Taryn and Aurieul. "I think there's something on those arrows. My hands are all tingly and they shouldn't be." |

"Acedia, I don't want to carry another person. If Eruantian was poisoned and you think you were too, you should get to Horin. I think you're only about third in line right now." Aurieul then turned back to Taryn. "On three. One, two, three!" With your permission, I'm going to say we successfully transport him to Horin. |

Marcus instantly fixated his eyes on the eagle, as if in some kind of trance. It was that animalistic tendency of his. Maybe he was going to take it down. Maybe he got the feeling that this was the bird's territory. Whatever the case, the Eagle and the Lizzardman went into a staring match. |

"I'm still standing," Acedia pointed out. "You don't have to carry anyone else. Also, I don't think whatever the arrows were coated with is poison in the traditional sense. All it's doing is dulling the sense of touch right now." |

Marcus didn't say a word or budge an inch. He was too busy trying to figure out what that eagle was trying to do. Is he going to come and attack me? I'd better stay right here and get set in case he does. The eagle was thinking the same thing. Marcus carefully let out his tongue for a warning hiss. Don't you try and attack me, Birdy. I got muscles and a sword. You have a beak. And smaller claws than I do. |

The Eagle flew down and landed on Drek's arm, and this time it stayed there. It looked at Drek inquisitively, as if to say "hello there". |
