<OOC>Those who don't know already, I'm a half-elf who started out with the group but disappeared soon after reaching Targos. In fact, I never made it to the inn. My father was/is an elf and is presumed dead. My human mother died not long ago. I know practically nothing of the Elven culture and can't speak or understand the language. I can fill you in on anything else later.</OOC>
Aurieul finally managed to pick the lock. She quickly gathered what coin purses she saw and ate the scraps off the table. Then she started walking.
Numerous rats and a crazy old lizzardman later, Aurieul was walking down the main street of Targos.
Sunlight!. She walked to the inn, only to find it was in ruins.
Maybe I should just return home. It's obvious the other party members thought I had gone my own way anyhow. And yet...what is there for me at home now? And the thrill of adventure...I can't go back. Besides, Drek was going to teach me about the Elven ways! Aurieul glanced down at the dagger she had grabbed off the table.
Besides, I have to return Tem's dagger. Lot of good it's done me! I'm babbling to myself, aren't I? Aww, and now I'm channeling Acedia! Aurieul promptly stopped talking to herself.
Aurieul counted her coins as she walked through town. She came upon the Talismonger's shop. After making her purchase, she thought to ask "have you happened to see a lizzardman?" She figured Marcus would have come to see the "shiny" if anyone from the group had. As luck would have it, the half-elf had seen him, and told Aurieul of the adventures she had missed. He also knew where they were headed. Aurieul thanked the man and wandered toward the market. If she was going into the woods, she'd need some supplies.
Before long, she had gathered some food, a bedroll and a blanket and other miscellaneous items, as well as a knapsack for keeping her things. Then she went in search of a horse.
I hope I have everything I need. If I leave now, I may even reach them by nightfall! With a big group like that and trouble following them at every turn they've probably made slow progress indeed.
Soon enough, Aurieul was headed out of Targos and into the woods. At one point, maybe an hour after she left Targos, she saw a huge plume of smoke rising from further in.
I bet I know where the group is!
Probably about 4 or so hours later, Aurieul realized she made an error. She was weak from lack of food, having only had those scraps earlier in the day. There was no way she'd catch up before dark in this condition. Best to find a spot to make camp and get some food made. So that's what she did. The next morning she woke early with the sun and was soon riding again, feeling much better than she had the day before. Targos and all it's troubles were behind her and her future lay ahead.
<OOC>I was going to make this longer and more in-depth, but I lack in the creativity department sometimes. Consider yourselves lucky. Sarge, you're in charge of reconciling any errors I may have made.
