"Oh, yes," Taryn said to Prosper. "Where do you think mystical beings come from? Do you think we just pop out of the ground or something? No, I got here in very much the same way you did, as did my own children." She sighed lightly. "My children...girls, where are you now?" she murmured, looking heavenward (for some reason or another).

I lost the state spelling bee in FIFTH PLACE!!

Marveling at the rock he had found, West sat back down on the soil under a still standing mushroom and went to sleep. Malt, still looking at the sky, sat down so he could get a little bit more rest.

"Children too? Wow, you learn new things each day." Said Prosper. He looked twored Eruantian. "What did you say Er?"

Prosper caught Eruantian also looking upwards. "Huh?" Eruantian responded "Oh... I just meant that not all memories are pleasant." He then looked down at his ring... deep in thought...

Edit: <OOC>You have succeeded in making Eruantian nostalgic. You might be able to get some answers out of him.</OOC>

"I wish I knew if my daughters were dead or not. The possibility of my running into them somewhere and not recognizing them anymore scares the hell out of me. Which is saying something." Taryn picked up a nicely camoflaged stick on the ground next to her and prodded the fire, for the sole purpose of creating a little spray of embers, gone as quickly as it had appeared and producing a light rain of dead ash. She turned her head to look at Eruantian, also wondering what he had said, though saying no more herself.

"Mmm," said Prosper. "I don't know any of my living relatives. So the same could probably happen to me. But what's the chance of that?" Prosper stared into the fire, then looked at Eruantian, noticeing the object of his attention. "This... may be a little intruding so you can ignore it if you want but...what happened? With the ring?" Prosper didn't expect to get answers, but hoped he did.

"What happened?" Eruantian repeated "Are you refering to my trance or something else?"

"Well," said Prosper "Yea. I mean. What did it feel like?"

"It didn't feel like anything" Eruantian replied "For all I knew, it was reality. It felt no different from being here... except it was colder there..." Eruantian was not thinking about the trance at that moment, but the mentioning of it made him wonder about something. "What happened at the battle with the Dire Wolf?"

Marcus yawned, stretched himself out, and walked over to the campfire, scratching his chest.

"Mmmmmyrmm...what's for breakfast?"

"Nothing," Acedia said to Marcus. "But there's still some snake meat left over, if you're interested in supper." Oh, the nuances of language. :D

Prosper shruged "What happened? Well, as far as I've heard, you killed it. I was bleeding off in the woods somewhere so I didn't see it." He indicated his bandaged arm.

"I killed the Direwolf?!" Eruantian shockingly inquired "I certainly don't remember that."

"No!" Marcus stood up bravely. "I killed the Dire Wolf! With my bare claws!" The Lizzardboy flexed his muscles for the thousandth time.

"So you think your strong lizard boy? Well you ain't seen strength 'till you seen a mighty dwarf take pick in hand an mine ore!" said West almost impulsively.

"Oh, really?" Marcus took the boulder he had been sleeping on, picked it up over his head with Super Strength™, and threw it over a hill. He heard a faint "AAAAAHHHHHHH!" as it landed. "Guess I don't know my own strength!" Marcus laughed as he puffed out his already-big chest. "Beat that, Gnomie."

[OOC: With Super Strength™, Marcus is now able to lift items weighing over 2,000 pounds.]

Horin woke up, a rock in his back, just in time to see Marcus' display. "What about Dwarvish gold?" He asked him.

"Gold?" Marcus' eyes turned into dinner plates. "GOLD? WHERE? Me wantee!"

"Calm yourself, Marcus, there is no gold," Taryn said monotonously. "Even if there were, what use do you have for it here?" She gestured around at the almost-pure nature around them (fine, save for a bit of scorching and a light dusting of ash).

"It's GOLD! It's shiny!" Marcus licked his chops, almost as if Taryn were made of gold herself.

Drek lifted his head and sighed. "Marcus, calm down. And don't eat Taryn. She'd burn your tongue."

"I don't rightly remember, actually," Taryn said. "I remember seeing Eruantian pinned by the beastie, but that's the only really relevant detail I seem to remember at the moment."
