If you chose "Other", explain it here.

After taking the spifn Political Compass Quiz, I found that I was something in the mix of Democrat and Libertarian.

Well, if you check the Religion and Politics board, you see that there are very few out of order arguments. Also, I just assumed that this wouldn't be locked since it just displayed people's political parties in an easy-to-see format (e.g. the poll).

I don't really consider myself part of a political party. My ideologies are probably most in line with the Greens, if that's just what you want to know, but otherwise I choose to remain unaffiliated.

Phew! You scared me there for a second.

Actually, there is a communist party of America. Check out http://www.politics1.com/parties.htm. It lists all of the political parties (like the communist party). There are a bunch of them that I've never heard of. My favorite is the U.S. Marijuana party.

This one is a good one too: Libertarian National Socialist Green party.

I thought that the mods didn't like these kinds of topics. Maybe we'd be better off voting anonymously.

The mods don't like people making assumptions about what they do and do not like.

That's understandable. I'm a Republican.

I'm a Democrat, as some people could tell in some of my post in the R&P topic.

I put down Republican, and then I noticed tfbm's Political Compass. I took it, and it said
Quote:
Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: 0.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.87

...what?

Well, that puts you at about the center of the "political graph", which you can see in relation to other famous people here.

Yes, but... what does that mean? What political party do I then belong to? The only famous-type person I'm even close to being near is Tony Blair.

Yes, I knew it wasn't yours. But you were the one to post it.

Man, Bush is just saying he's so amazingly powerful and wants to show the hole world. God. Clinton Screwed the intern, so he's a stud. Bush screwed the country, so he's a flaming bag of items I do not perticularly care to disclose the contents of. From OT, a die hard donkey from MD.

That's not giving democrats a bad name or anything...

Although I'm a democrat, I don't think that bush "screwed the country." I know that he made a whole bunch of mistakes and he can't talk all that well, but that doesn't make him an idiot.

Well, George Bush's Mother hoped W would grow up and become president. Well, half of her prayer was answered.

That's a good joke. Ha. I think I will use that one some time. That is just so funny. I just can't get over how funny and clever that joke was. I've never heard any joke like that in my entire life. Wow. That was sure a clever and funny joke. I wish I could come up with a joke that clever and funny.

People like you sicken me.

I agree, but there's no need to be mean. Calm down.

Evin wins the discussion. It's okay to critisize the president, hell I do it all the time, but when you blantatly make fun of him for no reason other than you're trying to be cool and fit in because being a bourgeois liberal is the hip thing to do today (As evidenced by Green Day). Being a critic to the president is your patriotic duty, as long as your assumptions are based in fact or logic. Making fun of him without grounds isn't.

Sorry. It just angers me when people make fun of other people that
A) the don't know
B) they have no evidence of what they're making fun of them for is true
C) they just want to be funny

It just annoys me so much!

[edit] I win? Yay! I'd like to thank all the little people that helped me get here...

Yeah, I miss the days of the subtle political humour of John Lennon or Frank Zappa (Even though I wasn't born yet, I can still know about it okay, cut me some slack). Nowadays, political humour is simply "OMFG thje prezident is teh stoopid!!111!lololl!"
