As you guys might know, I'm not an anti-gambling kind of guy. (I was a semi-pro gambler last year, and made $16k that year, solely from gambling.) I wouldn't quite classify my position as pro-gambling, but I still think if a guy really wants to play poker online, heck, let him. Unless he's an addict (and I think addiction is far less common than the press would have you think), it's hardly the worst thing he could do.
At the same time, I understand how some people want to ban this stuff. Lord knows that this allegedly free country has to protect people from themselves!

But I think even if you're anti-gambling, this law is ridiculous. You commit a felony just by playing poker online? What's so bad about poker that it has to be a felony? There are people who make a living playing poker, but won't be able to if they have to pay a $10,000 fine or serve a jail sentence here and there.
What do you guys think? Do you think it's as ridiculous as I do?
