Hello Steve, i am the high Magistrate and founder of the Church of Cthulhu.
Yeah, of course alot of theese people here know who Cthulhu is, mainly because ive written two fanfictions based on him here, used several banners and avatars of Cthulhu, and bassicly Have a link to the Church of Cthulhu Main Website in my banner.

one final question, why is this is R&P?

to tell the absolute truth: because everyone seems to be in here. R&P that is. And, because it can be considdered a religious issue. Do you considder Cthulu to be a realy divine being?

Where exactly are these fanfic's anyway?

I will find the fanfics in a moment, they pretty much suck. I say yes to him being A supreme being, but not the most supreme, Why else would i have created the Church of Cthulhu? but the question is... do YOU belive?

As best I can tell, this Cthulhu is essentially a creation of H. P. Lovecraft. I find it hard to take seriously at all, any more than I would take the worship of Elbereth Gilthoniel seriously. (But between the two, I'd put my money on Elbereth).

I believe that some beings that are bound to the earth exist. If Cthulhu is real, he would make a very powerful ally on the side of good, despite the fact that many people think he's evil. In truth, he is eternally nutral, acording to my sources. Hey, If I believe in King Aurthur, Avalon, Fincayra, and five wizards (Merlin and Tamwyn included), why not say: sure, he exists, maybe not as a God, but he could exist.

Cthulhu is not a god, Simply he be The Savior; As in Insted of us dying and losing our souls to the elder things, we get eaten and live but burn for 1000 more years

the Dreamlands are supposidley what we await if eaten.
To find out what to do, Click on my signature, go to Forum, Look under Announcements, and find the post called either "May Eve" or "To Summon Yog-Sothoth"
and the gates of Yog-Sothoth are what Azathoth trapped Yog-Sothoth in, locking him outside of our universe.

No, but the Wikipedia article was the first time I've ever heard of him. And I kind have a hard time believing in a huge alien that lives in the ocean and commicates with people in their dreams. Sorry.

Actually, your second one was closest.

He was a squid-headed, dragon winged, man body...ed, "can wade through the pacific ocean up to his waist"...ed ( :p ) powerful creature.

I hope this doesn't contradict my loathing of scientology.

Don't say sorry Dactyl, I find it almost imposible also. But nothing is completly impossible. After all, God himself is beyond any comprehention as far as size and power: and he has the ability to comunicate with us by any means. Not that I doubt the lords power, nor do I compair Cthulhu to the lord. But I do subject to the idea that God may have created other beings that dwarf the power of only the angels and the demons. This doesn't mean that he is a god, merely that he is a very powerful nuetral being.

as for cthulhu, i don't know. it is a little too far fetched for me. i didlike that the poll is "i believe" or "i dont know him". i know who the... thing? is but i just don't believe in squddly headed guys. although if i was going to bother believing, he might be one of my first picks.
