This article has the whole story on what he means.

So what do you guys think?
Is he crazy?
Incredibly arrogant and conceited?
Wearing too many polo shirts?

As if Kanye's ego couldn't get any bigger, he comes out & says that.

You have got to be kidding me...

"George Bush doesn't care about black people" told me all I need to know about this guy. This just confirms my feelings about him. Lovely.

At least Michael Moore TRIES to back up his statements.

man, this is Fubar, even more than i am, and im a Cthulhist!

seriously, this guy has absolutley nothing to do with what is said in the bible, he's not in the history books, he's in some stupid J-14 magazine, and has only said one thing that shocked the world: say that president bush doesnt like black people. [joke]man, we always say that, but it takes someone who the president actually knows to get it out, even if we did know the president, we'd have to say it next to Mike Myers, man.[/joke-with-no-point]

well, maybee he can produce a new type of religion, and form it on what he wants, no matter if the stuff doesnt connect or make sense, just like L. Ron Hubbard.

I'm praying this is a joke. But I wouldn't be surprised at all if it wasn't. Remember his hissy fit after the Grammies last year? Ugh. He is the most narcissistic celebrity I have ever heard of. And I've heard of Madonna.

MOG! Kanye's at it again. First he was all, "I'm the best ever" (well, actually he's always like that), then he dressed up as Jesus for the cover of Rolling Stone, and that Grammy thing... ugh. I realize he's from Chicago so I should be proud of him, but I just hate his guts. But he is good for a laugh every now and then...

edit: I found teh Jesus picture...

Maybe it's because I respect him somewhat, but I doubt he's being totally serious here. C'mon, this is probably just another "bigger than Jesus" deals. West isn't an idiot; if he was so set on the thing, why did he just give a little words on it? The role he described is a little ambiguous at best.

Clever Danielle, your topic title made me laugh.
This is even worse then when the mayor of New Orleans said "I'm going to keep this a chocolate city!". :-|

History Books?!!?!

Untill this topic I didn't even know about this person.

And what part would he play? Or would he want his own section in the Bible...

1st Kanye 2:17 "And so he did say unto Mike Myers 'George Bush doesn't care about black people', and Mike was shocked."

I bet he'll want all the stuff he says in red, too.

Kanye West....in the Bible. Well, there goes my faith in humanity. While we're at it, why don't we add [s]Chuck Norris[/s]* 50 Cent in there too? He's holyfied, ain't he?

* My bad, Chuck Norris is already in the Bible. He's knows as "God".

It's just the way of celebrity to get a swelled head eventually. Even the Beatles had that "Bigger than Jesus" controversy at the height of their careers. It amazes me that people take what these music/movie/TV stars say so seriously sometimes.

sure, if you consider making stuff up to be trying to back up his statements.

still, this Kanye West thing...i think he's just using hyperbole to make headlines, which is clearly working. he's probably not serious, but he is still pretty arrogant about it.

Or that really really bad person in germany who formed the nazis who's name your not suppose to mention on this fourm.

After all, germany saw him as a national hero for a little while.

You know, I think Thom Yorke should be written in as a general in the Civil War. He has the voice to give commands. Doesn't work, does it? Editing what you consider to be true history and inserting yourself? I don't recall even the most narcissistic Pope writing himself in the Bible.

The funny thing is that he just said it out of the blue, like he just thought of it right then and it slipped out. Mike Myers was standing next to him with his mouth hanging half open in full "WTF?" mode, that was one of my favorite moments in TV from '05.

He said it like Bush started the war in Iraq then made Katrina strike New Orleans simply to kill black people.. It's kinda sad that people bought into it.
