I have a question: Does it really matter which denomination I belong to? I go to an interdenominational church, so we have people from all Christian backgrounds.

I thought denomination was determined by what church you go do. Seems to me that an "interdenominational church" would really just be non-denominational.

I'm a Catholic. I come from a real traditional type of place (you know, where everyone knows eachother and almost 90% of the population is really old? And those who aren't are either kids or middle aged men who work as clam diggers). So, you can see how that would work out.

Well, at least most of them. The rest will chant, "And with thy spirit."

I thought that I made that up. Oh, well... I'm a Presbyterian. We're pretty laid back as far as denominations go. It's a pretty sweet deal.

I'm nondenominational--I wasn't raised Christian. Wasn't proselyted either, by the by.

Ya, but what parts of those do you believe in? And how does the paganism come into play?

I'm methodist.
hm...we're not doing so great in the polls...11% so far...Thankfully this is all virtual and legible, else we'd be hard pressed to go to war with the catholics.

I guess I'm a Catholic. I go to Catholic school...

Although I really don't have a formal religion. I almost never go to Church.

Not because I don't believe in God and Jesus Christ, it's just something I don't do.

Nothing wrong with Catholics, in Mass you get free booze and crackers!
(just kidding around)
After going to a protestant sermon the other day, I'm glad I was brought up catholic. Seems to be a bit more lively when and if you dont have extremely strict religious parents.

Formal denomination is what you meant, I think. If you believe in God and accept Jesus and everything, you're probably a Christian.

I think.

You're right, Teffy. But since he doesn't consider himself a Catholic, he would be other, like me.

I am Pentecostal. And Teff, just so you know, Mormons and Jehovah's witnesses aren't really considered Christian, but I won't get into that.

Hmmm... Interesting, You know the extent of the personal relationship that every person of both these denominations have with Jesus Christ?

By all means, get into it. What is your definition of "Christian"?

Christians believe in the sole authority of the Bible as the Word of God, as well as the Father, Son & Holy Spirit as God, "Three in one".
