I personally don't wear one, but it's pretty rude to think lowly of people who sport the Confederate flag. They're not trying to be jerks about anything, not whining about losing the war, not being racist. All they're doing is being proud of their heritage. I don't do it, my heritage comes directly from Germany, but you Yankee-types shouldn't yell at them Southern-types simply because you think the Stars and Bars are wrong.

Although I guess I am Northern. But then again, maybe I'm Southern. I don't know. I have Northern tendencies, but I was born in Virginia and am being raised in South Carolina. I guess I'm a Southern Yankee.

I don't have a problem with that, and I didn't say that I did.

I'm registered Republican, but I would have no qualms voting for anybody if I thought they were a good candidate. I actually tend to vote Democrat or Independent in local elections, Republican for higher offices.

Ouch. That bump hurted me.

I'm still a Republican. Though I heard the other day that I wouldn't get to vote in the next election. The one after that, though...

I think that the party system is, for lack of a better word, stupid. So many people vote for a party as opposed to a candidate, and that's really sad.

The last of the good Democrats died long ago...

I'm for whoever downsizes the power of the government... Don't think I'm an anarchist, but I believe that the gov't has a little too much power *cough cough PATRIOT Act*

And the last thing I want is some bigot like Bush! Grrr!

I have no problems with Repubs, or anyone who has Rebup political views...
I have a problem with Repubs who feel that it is their mission to make Christian beliefs and morales the permanent more of our society (that's mor-ay by the way).
I have a problem with "the talking heads" who feel that vulgarity is the way to accomplish a political objective.
I have a problem with people from both sides thinking that because I am in the military, I am a Repub, when I am not.
I hate being called a "liberal" with the same tone of disgust that one would say with "cockroach."
I hate that there is no comprimise at all.
Can't we all just...get along?

I miss the old Democrats, like FDR. They were awesome. Today's democrats have to call for a recount every time they lose, or make inappropriate screams in the middle of a speech. And the Repubs are no better. They have obscure reasons for limiting the freedoms of the American people. Restricting freedoms in order to preserve them is moronic. A government that isn't bound by its own Constitution can only lead to the deterioration of our freedom.

Overall, I just hate the man... Down with the man, cause the man's got a plan, and the plan ain't good for the common man, man!

:P

Well, my haircut's pretty much skin tight, so I dont get yelled at or nothin. But I am a guideon for the drill team, so I must be proper. Proper...

I am a democrat (sorta) There should be a third party called The Intelligent, Comprimising, Politcal and Social Action Party. I'd be viceroy of it. Cause the title viceroy is cool.

Then why not make that party? Nobody would vote for you, and you'd have no chance in our oppressive two-party system, but you could still have the party.

According to American economist Kenneth Arrow's Impossibility Theorem, it is impossible to devise a constitution or voiting system which offers more than two reasonable choices to the individual, or that will guarantee to produce a constant set of preferences for a group which correspon to the preferences of the individuals making up that group.

The day an Independent or one of those other parties becomes President, I'll say good things about the PS2.

Deal?

Deal

I'm not a PS2 fan anyway. Cept for Gran Turismo. But to be back on da track, I'd have to say being independent is dangerous because one party or the other is going to steal you and put you into a cage until you vote for one side or the other.
Just sayin.

I make sure to dissuade myself from any real political party. Ideologies are not my cup of tea. I put Libertarian because it's right in the middle of all thinking, and plus I still like Badnarik.

I don't think Libertarianism is "right in the middle of all thinking". I agree with a lot of the Libertarian ideas, but it tends to lean towards the right on economic issues and to the left on social issues.

Have you heard of the political compass? It's an internet quiz that places economic issues on one axis and social issues on the other. The Libertarian Party falls in the bottom right quadrant, although "Libertarian" is used to refer to social freedom on the site. Here's a link; I think you folks might enjoy it:

A liberal is a Democrat, a conservative is a Republican. There is a difference there.
