Both time I've taken that test, I've gotten Social Conservative, but the second time I got Economic Liberal (though not a very strong one), with only Economic Moderate before. Hmm. I was still placed as a Totalitarian both times, though. |

Teff's test: I am a Social Moderate and an Economic Liberal I'm best described as a Democrat. I was right on the line between Democrat and Totalitarian. Right on Gorbachev's forehead. Voted for Kerry. I was not surprised by the results. |

Basically I don't even know what I am. Or: I change my orientation from day to day. The 'smallest political compass' quiz put me as a libertarian. The Political Compass.org quiz put me as almost dead center - one bar to the left, and a few bars down on authoritarian/libertarian. The OKCupid test alternatively puts me as Totalitarian or Democrat. Another test posted a few threads back puts me as fairly strongly conservative. On the 'issues', I line up mostly with Republicans. So...uh. right. |

May I ask why? I'm just curious as to why you feel that way. And if I haven't answered here yet, I'm a Democrat. A-durr. |

I just took the test Teff showed. Quote: You are a
Social Liberal (61% permissive) and an... Economic Liberal (28% permissive) You are best described as a: Democrat You exhibit a very well-developed sense of Right and Wrong and believe in economic fairness. As usual, I'm a Democrat. Hoorah. I'm where I usually am on these quizzes. |

Nintendogs, I'd suggest not judging Republicans OR Democrats by Bush and Kerry...unfortunately, neither one is even remotely moderate. Bush is ultra-conservative, and Kerry is ultra-liberal.

John Kerry was never the president, first off. And I don't think you should judge people on how well you like them. You have to look at what they stand for to see if their opinions agree with your own, and then make your decision. George Bush is probably a nice guy, but that doesn't mean he's a good leader, you know? |

Independant. I will not be tied down by the man! I'll vote for who I want without having to hear it from anyone. "You're democrat, you can't vote republican" or "you're republican, you can't vote democrat" I want none of it. |

shhhh... you're on the internet.. Don't say that word unless you're bashing them. LOL I'm a registered republican, and I subscribe to a lot of (but not all) the beliefs that define a conservative. I don't vote along party lines, though, neither party has EVERYTHING right. I would even venture to say that neither main party has more right than the other. |

Meh, I could easily argue for either side. I don't really think I have any political views, but it's a fun topic to rant about, and I live in a hugely Republican town. I guess I just picked up conservatism and ran with it. I'm not THAT good with arguing, though... I do it better face-to-face. |
