I've been reading the stupid tv show topic and stupid product topic and I wondered, There a lot of stupid things on tv, but what about the good stuff.
That's why this is here, Type about the stuff that you actually do like.
For me, there are only two good tv shows that are worth watching: Mythbusters and The Daily Show.

I like everything on the History Channel, Guts and bolts is top though. I also like Junkyard Wars and assorted things on the Food Network.

The History Channel, Discovery Channel and National Geographic channel are what I'm mainly watching today. If anyone is at all interested in Apollo XIII, you NEED to see a documentary that the History Channel did on it. It's called "Failure is not an Option". It absolutely blew my away.

Educational shows aside, I'm very fond of Adult Swim on Cartoon Network--mainly Futurama, Family Guy, Sealab 2021, Cowboy Bebop and ATHF. Also, The Simpsons is one of my absolute favorite shows.

I just got the Invader Zim, Season 1 DVD, and I love it! It was the only reason why I watched Nickelodeon, but when it was cancelled, Nick was dead to me.

Okay, I admit it. I have not even watched two hours of TV if you add up all the TV watchings in my life. However, Discovery Channel is really really good.

Also, I'd reccomend the Simpsons. It's a pretty good show.

I like that show on the History Channel that has the sword-weilding bald guy who teaches people how to use weapons to their greatest advantage. He roxxors. And that crazy Marine drill sergeant, too.

I also like that show Firefly, even though Fox cancelled it. It was a cool show about cowboys in space. Sound corny? Just watch an episode and see for yourself. Plus I think Morena Baccarin is really hot (although I hate her character's profession).

I like the Saturday Night Live Weekend Update, although the rest of the show is usually pretty lame.

Then there's that one show on the Food Channel that has the Japanese battle chefs. That's a fun show to watch, and you can learn a lot about different styles of cuisine. I also like that one show, Good Eats, where the geeky guy explains the science behind cooking. He's pretty funny. $40 A Day is pretty interesting, too. It shows you where you can find nice inexpensive places to eat when you travel (Plus, I think Rachel Ray is pretty hot, too). Unfortunately, I don't get to watch the Food Channel anymore, since Concordia doesn't have cable.

And, of course, there's The Simpsons. Need I say more? Well, I maybe just this: *Barney Gumble voice* "HeEeY Homer! You got to have class, like me, man! BUUUURP!!"

IRON CHEF??!! yeah good show but i think its pretty cheesey. I Mean, when there about to show what food it is the room fills with smoke a choir is singing and thoose 11 billondy cheffs dressed in white are standing there like statues. Then koga says the name of the food in a echoing voice. The funnnyest food they did was when koga said

Anyone who has a real reason to watch MTV is fooling themselfs, it is an intellectual vacuum and it is a complete waste of time and energy, get over it people all the boy bands broke up and you should all be at least a little informed about all the crap going on in the world.

MOVING ON!

Has any seen "The 4400"? I think it was a great miniseries and I really hope that USA brings it back a a series.

I remember Firefly but I can't remember most of it, I wonder if they have it at my local Worst Buy.

Also I think that Megas XLR is pretty good, I mean FLYING FIGHTING ROBOTS what can get better than that. I stood behinde the old Transformers and I stand behinde Megas also.

I used to watch The OC (i happen to be a teenage girl btw..) when I actually had time to spare to sit down and watch television. The show Wonderfalls was also great, sadly it got cancelled..*sobs*

I did like firefly too, I watched a few episodes and it grew on me. Too bad it got cancelled too..

And no this dosn't mean I smoke it's just that I happen to befriend these kinds of people.

So true! Although, I like that they are running the voting commercials.

But, I find it rather funny that in the same post, you talked about MTV being a mental vacuum, yet a few sentences later, you talked about liking flying, fighting robots.

About Firefly: I read on the internets that Joss Whedon is planning on releasing a feature length movie based on Firefly, and if it's successful at the box office, he's going to start working on a series of movies.

You lucky little mitten. You haven't been exposed to MTV? Are completely under a rock? MTV stands for Music TeleVision. For more information, go here

Yeah, well, I was feeling a bit odd then, and I was looking for a replacement for a bad word that could have gone in "You lucky little".

Win Ben Stein's Money
Salute Your Shorts
Father Ted
Uncle Bill (This show got so many complaints, it only lasted 1 episode)
This Hour has 22 Minutes

And now...(not really)

Yes, Prime Minister
Police Squad
Dinosaurs
Animaniacs
Bill Nye the Science Guy
Beakman's World
Almost Live
MythBusters
The Daily Show
The Jon Stewart Show

Feel free to add to this list.

Oh man, Police Squad was fantastic. We see for the first time the character Frank Dreblin, and the series as a whole is almost funnier than all the Naked Gun movies combined (or at least Naked Guns numbers 2.5 and 33.3 combined). I really wish they would've made more than 6 episodes of it, though. Or would release the series on DVD somehow.

Wow Turkey, I thought I was the only one to watch Beakmans World and Bill Nye. I liked those shows because they made science fun to learn about.

I loved that show. Considering that one of the characters had the same name as me (Offline). It was kinda creepy and kinda cool. Of course, I'm nothing like her. But it was cool just the same. It's a shame it was cancelled. I watched it every week while it was on. *Sigh* d**n Fox......

EDIT: Didn't notice. Sorry.

I don't really watch that much television, but I've been tuning in to Lost on ABC ever since it aired. It's an excellent show, great character development and suspense. It's also a nice escape from all those crappy reality shows that just won't seem to DIE!

Other than that, I like SpongeBob Squarepants, although I don't watch it regularly. I guess the creator decided to stop making new episodes for a while, what with the movie and everything, so Nickelodeon's been showing nothing but reruns for what seems like an eternity.

I caught two episodes of Lost on Saturday night. The only reason I was even remotely interested in it was because there was a Penny Arcade strip (er, strong language) about it. And we didn't have anything else to watch, so we tuned in.

It was actually surprisingly enjoyable. A little bit heavy on the pretty-people factor, but relatively well-written. At least, I enjoyed it enough to watch the encore episode the followed the first one.

"Oh my god. They're both sorcerers."
