Things I like or that make me happy?! Here goes nothing:

ZELDA.
Metroid Prime: Hunters
8-bit SNES games
Knowing I'll have someone to talk to or something to do when I get home
Lying in bed, thinking
NINTENDO.
MANGA.
Drawing
Writing

I'm currently working on a story of my own... *Sigh* I have a ton of these... most are decent too. This one is the most mature though.

Video game remixes. Like the stuff distributed on http://www.ocremix.org . There's some fantastic music in there. I'd recommend A Rose For Zelda, Venus Signed Banana Peel, and All The World In One Girl for starters, but other than that, totally go gung-ho and download everything that looks good. Seriously.

A living room quiet except for the sound of my fingers on the keyboard and some nice music.

Writing, especially when I come up with a really clever or descriptive little metaphor. Like this recent one: "The fire was having an energetic conversation with itself..." The best metaphor I ever read, that was just so perfectly picturesque and capturing of its moment that it's stuck with me, was this:

"It was a gray, damp shirt of a Febuary morning..."

I like that this thread exists. There's been so much negativity on the forum lately that it's a really nice change.

I also like finding out that I've gotten good marks (grades for all you Yanks). Like I found out that I got 94% in Intermediate Latin, and that I got 83% in Roman History after almost failing a midterm test. It was that 96% on my term essay and my 86% on the final that really did it. So yay.

I find it funny that I'm starting to say 'marks' instead of grades, even though DC-ish doesn't even come close to Canada. Plus, I say 'eh' more than my friends who are from Canada.

Oh, and in an odd twist in what I'm talking about. I enjoy my firends at school, some of which have as of today made me an honorary Asian. (long story)

I like the fact that I can generally keep a cool head even in a ferociously heated argument. More often than not, I've found myself being the one to say, "Hey, people, turn on the fire hydrant a bit, hmm? I realize you feel galvanized by your passion, but you're not helping anybody by flaming at a touch. Seriously. Calm down. Clam WAY down."

Sure, it's a great metaphor, but it's a crappy way of spelling "February."

Greendayfan240, this one is for you.
<Cheese> I LIKE CHOCLATE MILK!!! </Cheese>
It is an inside joke. The rest of you should pay no attention to that.

I like the 555 deal at Dominoes. Three OR MORE 1-Topping, Medium Pizzas for only 5 dollars each. Now that's a good deal. I can eat an entire Medium,Pepperoni, Pan Pizza by myself and the rest can go in the fridge for later...
...
...Great, now I'm hungry.

that was sweet. i can't believe i missed that. yo want some nice metaphors though try out....Saul Williams or Dylan Thomas or Omar Khayyam. Williams is a current rapper/poet but don't be fooled he rocks.
Thomas is a dead poet man who was really good.
Khayyam was a persian poet man who lived centuries ago but everyone knows a little bit of him:
"A Book of Verses underneath the Bough,
A Jug of Wine, a Loaf of Bread--and Thou
Beside me singing in the Wilderness--
Oh, Wilderness were Paradise enow"
of course kayyam wrote in arabic so that is translation. anyway im way off topic.

poetry makes me happy. there we go.

My dreams are really scary. Not, "OMG MONSTER!" scary, but like, child abduction scary.

Yeah. When I was little I had a dream... something to do with a monster, and a woman he had kidnapped tied up in chains or something. One of my more horrifying experiences.
But most of my dreams now are just cool. Even the scary ones. Sleep is my escape.

Music. Not plain normal modern day music.
Classical music. the type of music that takes you away from reality. The kind of music that makes me cry because it's so amasing. Yep, that's happened. Just thought I'd share that.

Rain. Today it is raining. This is my favorite kind of weather. It's so calming. I think I'll go ouside today.

Also, I really think writing my novel is starting to make me feel a little better. There are time when I have quite a bit of difficulty writing, but sometimes when your writing about one of your favorite characters...

It can feel really grand.

And classical music. Right now I'm listening to the Spirited Away soundtrack. "The sixth stop" is now one of my new favorite songs.

:)

Dr. Pepper. Dr. Pepper makes me happy.

And hugging soft things. Like kittens. xD

Rain also makes me happy. Just, like...sitting around listening to it, or going outside and dancing in it...^^ Mmm, definately my favourite kind of weather.

Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends ftw.

I like a nice pepperoni pizza from Papa Gino's. It's just...awesome.

Another thing that makes me happy? Sleeping late.

I like pepsi. I like Coca Cola.

I couldn't decidebetween the two.

THEN DR. PEPPER STEPPED INTO MY LIFE AND ALL WAS GEWD.

...

Anyways, having a semi-bug role in the musical makes mme happy(I'm only chorus, but the chorus actually does a lot more than you would expect. We're extras.)

Rain. Rain is the thing that will instantly cheer me up above all else.

Coming to work and finding out that your least-favorite co-worker isn't coming in.

Only having ONE final during finals week.

A clean bedroom.

New shoes! (Oh, gosh, I am a girl, aren't I?)

Reading Harry Potter again for the thousandth time.

My 1400 hoodie.

Compliments.

Old friends. Hugs. Unsweetened iced tea. A cat on my lap. The Simpsons. Awwww. :) Warm fuzzies.

I like.... Oh yeah.

Mornings, whee everything is cool and chilly, but your bed is just right, and you're totally comfortable and don't need to get up, though you are perfectly awake. And you lie there, soaking up the brilliance.

Plus I was listening to this song a short while ago in the car, called Deep Peace. Sounds corny, but it is so incredible. Bah. Wow. That's a thing which gives me such a feeling.

Forgot one thing! Taking a nap. Everything feels nice and cool after a good 30-60 minute nap, especially when you've slept very little or had a hard day.
