Since so many people seemed intersested in Super Smash Bros, here's a new group for all who love to smash. We can talk about characters and levels, argue about who's more awesome, and once we all get Revolutions, have competitions!

(I'm going to start working on banners.)

Great game, but I haven't played in a while. I forget who my favorite character was. I think it might've been Samus, or maybe Link. (For both N64 and GCN)

I love SSB. It's probably the best fighting game I've ever played. My favorite character is either Samus or Kirby.

I'm rather fond of Zelda (or rather, Shiek) and Pikachu. Then again, I've always been a fan of 'fast' characters.

Can't stand Pichu, however. Doing damage to yourself? Not cool. ESPECIALLY when you're a lightweight.

First time I played, I used Mario. I mean, he's Mario.

The guy I was playing against totally owned me, something like 20 games in a row.

He suggested I use Samus. About 15 minutes later, the fights were almost going 50-50.

Samus is a great character for noobs. Her moves are uncomplicated, and they do a fair amount of damage. Once you get timing down, there are other characters that do more damage, and are a little better, but, as for me, I still use Samus nearly EVERY game. Mainly because she's so easy to control.

There are times I use Pikachu (the infamous double special attack, double kill game) come to mind. Basically, you know how you do the charge/dash move? We we both playing as Pikachu, and both were well over 100% damage. We did that charge thing, and collided in mid air, knocking both of us off the platform; funniest video game moment in my life!

Light, floaty characters are the only way to go for me. Peach most of all, because of her annoying turnips and excellent air moves. Ice Climbers and Jigglypuff come next. *spams with B-forward*

Captain Falcon and Ganondorf pwn all. Mario is also an easy character to start off with becase of the simplicity of his moves.

I actually just got SSBM a few months ago, so I'm not really that good. I know that all of you would severly beat the crap out of me.

I love the Super Smash Bros series. Really innovative and fun. My best characters have to be Link and Roy, though I'm really good with Kirby and Yoshi as well.

And here's a point I'd like to raise. Did anyone think that in the first SSB, when Yoshi and Pikachu teamed up, they were nigh impossible to beat? They really seemed tough to me. But it might have just been me.

I wish I could still play SSB. :-( At my new home, my TVs don't have any audio/video inputs for my N64.

But, if I can think back a couple years, I loved playing as Jigglypuff.

And it sounds nerdy, but sometimes I would set up the multiplayer-battle thingy so that all the characters were AI-controlled, and pit them all against each other. It was cool.

NONE of you could beat me while I'm Dr. Mario. He's awesome.

I like Roy and Link. Roy has the one hit KO and the counter attack. And his blazer pwns in team battles. In fact, Roy is the only guy that I can beat very hard with on anything.

Ohoho, yes. Normally I use Link, but I've found that whenever I'm severely outclassed, I need only to switch to Bowser... and BAM! I'm the best. Like always.

;)

Peach is awesome. I'm not the biggest fan of Jigglypuff, but one of my friends is absolutely insane with him. As for Ice Climbers: Blech!

Also a big Samus fan.

I had never played the N64 one, though. Just the Gamecube version.

Heh. More like...never. You can bet sweet bucks that once SSBRevo comes out, I'm going to pwn you from a couch with Link, or Kirby.

One of the reasons that I like Kirby is SSB (ans SSBM) so much is that not only can he fly like Jigglypuff, but he also has an Up-B jump as well. You can get back from almost any distance with Kirby.

Hey! You used my name! D'aww. Count me in!

My favorite characters are Link/Young Link, but back in the original SSB, I was crazy go nuts with Jigglypuff. Still am, really, I just don't use her so much now that I've got Link in compact, more mobile form. I also used her because she was an essential part of a "Smash Trio," a series of three characters in a regular Melee battle that are somehow themes. I remember some...

The Jigglypuff Girls: Red, blue, and green Jigglypuffs vs. some random computerized foe. Like the Powerpuff girls, which me and my friends majorly digged back in the day. We did all sorts of things in this, like going "swimming" in the original Brinstar with Super Stars and "decorating the house" on Hyrule Castle. (I miss that stage... ;;)

Kirby Dog: Three Kirbies. We called it the Kirby Dog because we observed in the original SSB that a Kirby inhaling behind another Kirby with his mouth full looked sort of like a dog.

Catfight!: Only in SSBM - Samus, Peach, and Zelda.

ILLEGAL!: Me as Link, my friend Glenn as Mewtwo, and my sister as Marth. Reason it's called illegal--Because these are our best characters, and we pen n00bs we're introducing to SSBM too easily this way. We have to work to pwn against them. XD Usually with Ice Climbers.

We have code names for a lot of character combos. The most recent one is Screaming Match, which is two Samuses (Samii?), a Marth/Kirby/Zelda, and a Captain Falcon. The reason for the name is because of what happened at Christmas. My cousin brought his GameCube along with Melee with him and all my little cousins started playing. Little kids scream, but they screamed especially loud twice: One, when they were arguing over who got to pick Kirby/Marth/Zelda (who were quite popular that night), and when the kiddies didn't believe us when we informed them that Samus was a woman.

My ears still ring whenever I choose her...

I liked/like the name, Mrs. Teenybopper!

If you want to show off your, uhhh. . . smashiness. . . I made banners for sigs. I made one for (I think) every character, so put your best character in your sig.

(If I forgot one, please tell me, but only if you planned to use that character. I don't want to make any I don't need to.)

Bowser
Captain Falcon
Dr. Mario
Ganondorf
Jigglypuff
Ice Climbers
Kirby
Link
Luigi
Mario
Marth
Mewtwo
Mr. Game and Watch
Ness
Peach
Pichu
Pikachu
Roy
Samus Aran
Young Link
Zelda
Falco
Yoshi

Some of them aren't the best-looking, but I think they're still cool.

By the way, I read (I think in Nintendo Power) that the new SSB is going to be called Smash Planet. Kinda cool? . .

Yeah, this used to be my favorite game ever...Dr. Mario being my best.

After playing a near infinity of matches with my freinds, I can hardly stand to play it anymore...It just got waaay old.

A lot of the seniors (myself included) play smash during free. In the original (the worse one for me) I'll play Yoshi, Link, or Pikachu. Melee? I finally bought the game and even though I've been playing it at school for about a year, I still don't really have a steady character. I'll use Mewtwo a lot, but against a whole bunch of better characters he's not a standout. I'm decent with Sheik/Zelda, but I want to go to something more exotic.

So I'm trying to learn how to use Ness properly. I've been playing with some Link, Samus, Fox, and Ganon lately too. But I'm still trying to clear everything since I just got the game Saturday for home. D:

Ooh, I love SSB! I'm pretty good with Samus, Ness and Kirby. It's one great game.
I want SSBM very badly, but those dang GameCubes never came over here! And probably Revolution won't come here either. Curse you, Nintendo! :(

My brother actually deleted all the data of my SSBM game off of my memory card.

Now I have to get Mewtwo again.

Ok, Im a Samus user by heart and she is not easy to control. Try getting her to jump out and spike and enemy was the return to the stage and still survive. And what about her Super Wave Dash? Thats hard man. You litterally have to do it by a frames worth of animation. And dont forget missle canceling. Dont even say shes good for noobs. Any higher up player would say she is fairly hard to use efficently.

Also, me, DG and two of my friends that come over every week to play formed a crew called Critical Impact and we are now starting to get into the tournament scene. Its totally awsome. Any one in the Pickering Ontario Area wana play?
