Seeing as there's a high number of anime fans here, has anyone seen it?

Yeah, theyre gonna take out all the blood, gore, swears, smoking and drinking...and violence probably, and i doubt Naruto will still be named Naruto. Itll be something like Zach...or tom, look what they did to One Piece

They did have a toon where the main character had a gun pointed right in his face, but that never made it on here.....wonder why?

Yeah... we never get many good Anime or Manga...

Except, of course, for Fullmetal Alchemist!

I've read the manga and seen a few episodes of the anime. If 4Kids get their hands on it.... grrrrr.

Yah. The guys entered the Safari Zone. Ash met a Dragonair. Giovanni had a gun.

Fun fun stuff.

I just finished episode 113 of Naruto, possibly the saddest thing I have ever seen. Seriously you will be weeping by time you reach the end, if you arn't then you don't have a soul.

Yeah, I'm currently watching the series as it airs on YTV, and it's pretty good. It doesn't bear incredibly large earmarks of Americanization... save for the opening and ending themes. Japanese rock was apparently undervalued in that translation, as is often the case... *is appreciative of Gundam Seed having not gotten that treatment*

To note, we're only to episode 11.

I tried watching Naruto once. BORING. I couldn't go on... I like FMA, that's really the only anime I watch. In Japanese with subtitles, too. I hate dubbing, SUBS ALL THE WAY!!

Anyway, back then, I pronounced Naruto like Nar-oo-tow, not Naru-tow.

Don't let the other fans fool you. If you know Japanese pronunciation, you'll know the first one is the real pronunciation. Which it is.

Na-ru-to. Not Na-roo-do >_>

Wait, I'm slightly confused. To clarify, is it correct to place emphasis on the first or on the second syllable?

Well, there really isn't any emphasis because there aren't long vowels, and "to" is prounounced as "toe" in Japanese.

That should answer your question

Err, oops, I meant stress, not emphasis. D'oh. Either way, yeah, you've answered my question. No emphasis, but stress is placed on the second syllable, instead of the first, from what I can glean. Na-ROO-tow, instead of NA-roo-tow. Thanks; that had, as I said, been bugging me...
