This is a thread for discussing very lame things you've had to endure.

Today in Health class, we watched this video about the dangers of smoking. Highlights...

- A game show thingy called "BUTTS"
- Cigarette boxes singing about going home to the tobacco fields
- Some kind of tobacco company making cigarettes for kids called "Mules"

I swear, it's more unbearable than it sounds. You'd just have to witness it.

Today all new students at my school had to watch a video about sexual harrasment. (I'm not new, but I remember the movie from last year) It was just about the dumbest thing ever. The acting was so bad, and It was just really funnt, because It's soo different from how kids really act.

You think YOUR health class is bad? Well...mines not BAD, just really weird.
Some of the oddest moments:

Teacher: NOBODY LIKES YOU!

_______

Friend who happens to be a girl: I had a dream of Girl Scout Mass Murders
Myself: YES!
Other friend who is a guy: Obviously you just made his day

______

(On Video) Here we see the brain, lungs and heart of a smoker after autopsy

Most of Class: Gross
Friend who is a guy: Been there, done that.
Me and Friend who happens to be a girl: Amazing! Poke the brain fool!

_________

Teacher: No blood allowed in this class after Noon, thus if you crack your head leaning back in that chair young lady, I'll run to the bathroom and your brains will be all over the floor.

Other Girl: And I'll laugh!

Me: And I'll poke your brain!

______

Odd, no?

EDIT: One more, not from health class

Random Kid: Hey new best pals
Drew: Ok...whatever you said
Random Kid: Can I have a hug?
Drew: How much money ya got on you?
Kid: Nuthin
Drew: Screw you, go away!

Those don't really seem lame.

More like weird.

I had to watch a really lame movie on NCAA drug policy at the beginning of the year. They tried to be cool, and maybe they were when the movie was made, which, judging by the woman's afro, was probably 1991 or so. Highlight of the movie: a step by step look at the drug testing procedure.

When you have to endure those lame movies, simply think about
CheatCommandos in the Classroom. :cheat: It seems to make everything better.

I don't want to bring this back, but I had to watch that last year. I didn't know what the heck was going on. Pretty lame.

Pretty much any school movie is lame. Although you will occasionally get a good one.

I went to a small school last year, so there was the upper class, which was 4th 5th and 6th graders, and the lwoer class, which was 1st 2nd and 3rd graders. Well, a dentist came in to talk about good dental health, and the principal asked our teacher if they would let the upper class see it, and they said sure

Turns out it was a presentation meant for kindergarteners, which my teacher didn't know about until AFTER it was over (The principal knew though... argh). "Meet Gina the Dental Health Girrafe, kids! Oh no, it's King Cavity!" There was a movie involved. Horrible half an hour.

I saw a video in science about the periodic table.....it was so lame. Lame jokes, and Powerpoint animations flying here and there. And some superhero representing helium.

Okay, just to clear something up... this thread isn't just about school. Anything lame you must endure, you can discuss it here. Like what your next-door neighbor did, or something.

Nah, Roasty's just peeved that all the lame things involve school.

Although, to be honest, most lame things happen at school. ;)

Man, I have four words-- Our school's television show.

Seriously, it is crap and I hate having to suffer through this. I'll make a few of the -best- higlights of the show that made me laugh because of how retarded it was:
  • There are sometimes little hand puppets that dance throughout an entire few minutes to some repetitive song. Throughout it, they'll do little stupid visual effects like pixelating it and changing the colors. It's more of a video to show what any old camera could do with a little elbow grease...
  • Luther Jackson Middle School's Fear Factor... the name already made it suck before I saw it. They did these stupid stunts like "get stuffed in a locker" which was just them putting their foot into the locker and the camera switches over to the locker closing, "eat a pencil" which was just gummy worms, and "the hang of doom" in the gym which was just the people hanging a few inches off the ground holding onto little rings.
  • The little skits they do-- yep, that sucks too. The first one that the school did was this if you look bad or not thing where the television "host" just brushed up a kid's shirt saying that "the ladies would get him in no time." The second one was one with a kid trying to get rid of a girl's fear of mustard... The girl was basically acting crazy going, "Ah! Get that mustard away from me!" She solved her fear with sunscreen... The third one that was shown last week had this one guy trying to get this kid to look hot for a girl... let me not get into details of the retarded stylings.
  • The commercial breaks in between the skits. They're just there for annyance. The first one for the fasion skit was this shoe-shining stuff. He sprayed nothing on a dirty shoe, picked it up and stuck it under the table, and pulled out another clean shoe... *dies from horror of the staff showing this crap.
  • Oh, and to top off the nonsence (I haven't listed it all), whenever they're about to play a skit, they say some stupid lines like, "Now play that tape super soaker maniac VCR techy Dan."

The worst part about it is that the video quality sucks so much that it's almost impossible to see what's going on. My $20 camera that I use in my sign pics and such has better quality than it...

*washes mouth with soap after saying all of that*

School spirit. Science class. Small children. Puns, especially the ones known as "Almost every single episode title of the American version of Pokemon."

That's not good for my rep with you, then.

But, I agree. School spirit is lame. Today was Red and White Day (otherwise known at spirit day for our school) and I wore the opposite colors of what we were supposed to wear. My moto was, "I'm supporting the school by wearing navy."

I meant like, seven-year-olds :P

Boys who are too small for their age don't bother me. I've gotten used to that, trust me.

One time in health class, we had to watch a movie about bacteria. It was called "Fight bac!". It was lame, from the songs, to the jokes. It was about kid making a supper for a birthday. It was like, "Don't put raw meat on the table, or it will be covered with bacteria!" or "Don't forget to wash your hands, so you can fight the bac!"

arg.

Oh wait, now I remember the LAMEST thing ever in school...

There was some group that was doing this skit for us in sixth grade about sexual harassment or something.

There was one point...where the lady said that if someone's mugging you....you should yell "YOU'RE NOT MY MOTHER OR MY FATHER!"

That joke stayed fresh in the grade for like, a year and a half.

I've tried thinking about Homestar toons during classes that were lame. I just ended up looking weird, because I would either laugh out loud during a speech about Hiri Kiri, or quote something that only Eldiran got.

Here's something else really lame:
Today in the lunch line, Eldiran and I sang all the lyrics to "Sensitive to Bees." He was Strong Bad in the beginning and Homestar in the end. I was Marzipan. The really sad part is we both know all the words - and timing - of the song.
