Is anyone here into airsoft? For those who don't know, airsoft is like paintball except the guns look very realistic and it fires plastic bbs instead of balls of paint. I have a bunch of friends that I play with and we have tons of fun.

I think so. My friends has a few, and they really do look realistic. And you can fire small paintballs out of them though.

But according to law they have to have an orange barrel so people will know that they are fake.

I do have an airsoft guun. However I stopped using it fairly recently. I thought it'd be lots of fun, b eing able to shoot without worrying about buying anything else or cartridges or anything. However I was disappointed at the accuracy. I initially assumed it was just my inability to shoot (before the airsoft guun I'd shot 50 shots total in my lifetime). Now starting to suspect the gun has questionable accuracy- you could fire it at the same spot twicec using a robot hand and it'd hit an inch apart from 10 feet. Sometimes deliborately missed the 8 inch target, and this is shooting from 7 feet. Using one hand.

Well, it's because it's got roud pellets that it's shooting. There aren't that accurate. Just look at musket balls.

me and my friends like to build our own guns and fire them. we basically buy our guns from a guy named Piper,(the guns are expensive, and if you want a gun like what i got, you gotta fork over $5400.00 for it, but its worth it!!!! :p :p :p :p !!!)
and his guns are freakin awesome, he has a website where he sells and promotes his guns, man, if you get the strafer MKIV, MAN, you could make it look like almost any gun you want! well, i guess i should give you guys the link, but im not spamming!
