Wow. All you mechanical-types. I break anything mechanical-ish I get my hands on. Even Legos. It's sad, really.

As I said before, I've never hacked anything. Except for that time with the chainsaw and anti-aircraft gun. And the official database of the FBI.

I helped my cousin install and overclock his 6800 and I frequently hack the door codes on the staff break rooms in stores, all you really have to do it wait by the door untill an employee goes in you watch them punch in the code and wait for them to leave.

This isn't hacking the door codes, it's hacking the employees.

Thanks to that wizard at Hackday.com, I made myself an FM radio jammer. Finally, a way to shut off my sister's constant playing of Blink-182.

w00t, hacking employees!

And a disclaimer for all people thinking of getting a new video card (such as the 6800 in my last post) I highly suggest getting a new power supply if you still have the stock one in your computer. Three days after I helped my cousin put the 6800 in I was helping him take it out because the power supply died and took the fancy video card with it :((.

I modded my Xbox. I know, kind of a lame "hack", but it's really a nice thing to have. It's saved me the trouble of buying a Tivo, at least.

Hey, you can also (without any smashing) run Mac OSX or Linux on the Xbox, but I'm pretty sure Microsoft wouldn't like that..

Microsoft doesn't like that I modded it in the first place, but since I don't use Xbox Live they never have to know. Anyway, having Xbox Media Center and a handful of emulators is more than enough fun for me.

I'm considering upgrading to a 6600 in the near future. It doesn't require a power supply hookup (odd, my friend's fx5900 does), but should I get a new power supply to be safe?

How many watts is your current power supply? And what is the card rated at? It really depends on how much your motherboard, drives, etc. pull, and how much you have to spare.

I'm not certain, but I think it's 275 watts. Or maybe 300. I've got 2 hard drives and a CD burner. The motherboard is an Intel D845PT. The only fan is on the processor. I'm not certain what the card is rated at, but it's a Chaintech SA 6600 256MB.

I don't know video cards, but I think a power supply of at least 350W would be advisable.

I looked at Newegg. Unfortuantely, it appears that the card is agp 4x/8x, but my board only does 2x/4x.

Although I will say this: Those AXIS cams are fun. I reviewed one a couple years ago for Street Tech, and they're neat bits of technology. The one I reviewed (a 2100, IIRC) had a Cat-5 connector in the back, so you could just hook it up to any LAN, anywhere, and then log into it with your web browser. They actually run a stripped-down version of Linux with Apache and PHP, so they're very hackable. It's really too bad they made me send it back once I'd reviewed it. Nice folks, though.

Still, it's somewhat nice to see what people are doing on the other side of the world. Somehow I ended up in a Japanese Dry Cleaning place. Weird.

And then I ended up in a vet's office and some dogs noticed that I was moving the camera. They were attacking it.

Hey, look, a kitchen.

Devil's Lake, North Dakota

Some building at the University of Oregon. Looks like a music/theatre building. Any forum people go there? Go stand in front of that building and hold up a sign that says "Dumples vs. Ducks: Dumples win!"

Those Berkeley EE/CS kids have the narrowest hallways I've ever seen. It looks like a submarine.

Here's a nice view of Brest, France. It's a foggy evening there. The name of that town is not funny. *cough*ROFL*cough*

Here's a computer store in Germany. They sell "Computer- Hard- und Software".

And a surprisingly busy computer lab at some college in Helsinki.

This intersection in Wielawa, Poland reminds me of Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. Pretty, though.

OMGWTFBBQ! This one scared the crap out of me.

Here's one of some college radio station in Germany. I'm tempted to call that number at the bottom and talk to the cute girl in the yellow. Seriously. But I don't speak German. Oh, there's a page where you can type messages to them. Somebody who knows German ask them if they like Homestar Runner.

Okay, this post is getting long. Errrrrrrrooom... click!

It's much more interesting when the people are unsuspecting of the cameras. It's always funny when you zoom in the cameras on innocent bystanders.

Oh, I take back what I said, Chimeraboy, this is endless entertainment. Some more (double post my foot):

Here's a lively one in Darmstadt.

They're up to something in Graz, Austria. There was a guy in a yellow shirt posting for the camera for a second. Is that an arcade machine in the back, there? I wonder what game.

This is the prettiest one I've found so far (apart from the girl in the yellow shirt -- my leching knows no bounds) -- it's sunset on some lake, maybe Sweden or Norway. Get it while it lasts.

Here's a fun game: How many buffalo can you spot? I found four. Apparently this is the Buffalo Trace Distillery.

I like this one because you can see the reflection of the camera in the glass.

This looks like a cat-cam, but there are no cute kitties to be found.

Cows!

Prejeans is apparently a restaurant. It looks cozy.

The Mattress Doctor Bed Cam is not as exciting as it sounds.

I don't see any pizza trophies.

Still, no pizza trophies.

OMG bees! (I'm very sensitive to bees.)

Another kitchen (this time with actual people cooking).

Hmm, something's wrong with this picture.

Well, so far I haven't seen one inside anybody's home, and a lot of them are obviously set up with the intention of letting strangers watch.

For the rest of them, I really don't feel bad: had they only read the user's manual, they would have known what steps to take to prevent it, but they were too lazy.

I've seen a few in stranger's homes. But I see what you mean, they're just too stupid to secure their cameras.

Wait! I don't get it! Are these cameras in IJ's posts live? And how do I access others? What is the official site? How did Cmarbagoi's original post have anything to do with this? Why does the Red X of Doom show up so often? WHAT IS X TIMES PI?!?

My brain hurts!

1. Yes.
2. Go to my original link.
3. There is none. This is illegal, remember?
4. IJ posted other cameras he found.
5. Because you don't have ActiveX. Neither do I. Just try the ones in my link.
6. The answer cannot be solved until the variable of x is defined.
