Hey all, I just wanted to let everyone know I have NOT abandoned the Compy 386 emulator. Life right now has been pretty hectic lately with some in my life and I had no time to work on the emulator much.
I will be starting the development again sometime this week and hope to release a beta 1.0 by the end of April/May.
I am still looking for additional developers if you would like to volunteer, email me at
snowthrower@gmail.com
By the next beta I hope to have emails 41-60 loaded in and Jello B Mello has written a way to allow Compy to run on its own, or you can interact with it.
And for all you Mac fans (like me) I also now have a way to export this to Mac OSX using COCOA language and compilers. Right now the Mac OSX version isnt my top priority but I PROMISE a Mac OSX version will be out before Beta 1.0 comes out.
Also, I have fixed the bug which many people seemed to have with "autoexec.bat" and I will release a patch soon to fix it.
Another thing, before I start development on new features, I am going to be completely recoding and organizing the program. Until version 1.0, the emulator will be closed source (except to developers for this project).
I honestly cant wait to get back coding this project again and I hope you've all enjoyed previous versions of the emulator!
