Post subject:  [Insert Subject Here]

I've noticed that almost nobody on this forum posts subjects in their replies to other posts. Why is this? Was there some sort of etiquette rule I missed? Replies are posts too; don't they deserve subjects?

Post subject:  This feels kinda weird...

I know I never look at the subjects of others' posts. So I guess I never thought to put subjects into my own.

Author:  sticklyman [ Fri Feb 25, 2005 9:26 pm ]
Post subject:  Eh...

It's not necessary. Like MHG said, no one reads the subjects. Do you really care that the summary of my response is "Eh...?" No, you read the entire post. Simple.

Post subject:  This is a new experience

I never put in a subject. I just don't find it neccesary at all.

ModestlyHotGirl hit the nail on the head. Nobody reads subjects on replies, so why write them?

Post subject:  Oh tonight, cool, healthy, ones, eh?

Healthy ones, eh? SUBJECT!!!

Author:  porplemontage [ Fri Feb 25, 2005 10:55 pm ]
Post subject:  There is really no point to this. Waste of my time.

If someone wants to know the subject of a post, then read it! Seriously, an accurate subject line wouldn't come in handy, anyway. Hmm, I wonder what this post is about. Better read the subject line.

Post subject:  umm...HI

It feels like I'm doing something wrong...

Usually if there is a subject, I'll read it. But I don't put in subjects because it wastes 4 seconds.

Post subject:  Whoa. I feel invigorated!

Wow, this is the first time I really gave a care about the subject.

Post subject:  Re: [Insert Subject Here]

Maybe the reason is that it's a waste of time. Writing that^ took me like 45 seconds. Thanks Ricksea, in that time I could of watched TV for 45 seconds.

Post subject:

For my first... 5... maybe 10 posts maybe I put a subject. The only times I put a subject NOW is when I start a topic. Thanks very much and good night.

Post subject:  SUBJECT'D!

Posts, at least the ones I make, usually aren't longer than two or three sentences, so I never see a point in adding a subject. If people want to know what my post is about, it shouldn't be too difficult for them to just read it.

Post subject:  like now

I make a subject now and then... but not usually because no one reads it because it just doesn't stand out enough.

Post subject:  Yar!

I may have done it a few times in the beginning of me joining the forum, but I don't remember. Although I did put a subject on the post in the 2005 Wiki Awards when I awarded the trophies. That one actually meant something.

EDIT: Actually, I believe Buz puts a subject in his posts all da time.

Post subject:  Ummm...I dont because i start typing in the subject

box and end up with half a message in the text box.....too lazy to fix.

Post subject:  What if the subject and text were switched?

Something to think about:

Post subject:  Well, I was gonna type something funny here...

I don't usually post in the subject box because I don't read them, and I figure that not many others do too.

Post subject:  Nay-sayers

Well, since everyone except me on this forum is against "post-subjects" then why are they even an option?

Author:  No Toppings [ Tue Mar 01, 2005 6:15 pm ]
Post subject:  Oops im

doing it again..i hate the subject box, it gets in the way...CURSE YOU SUBJECT BOX!

Post subject:  The Brothers Chaps address is... oops, outa space.

I don't mind the subject box. I can put hidden stuff in it.

Post subject:  Wouldn't it be cool to write a realy long subject which was

also the first sentence of your post, so if nobody read the subject, then they be all like, "Where's the first sentence of that person's post???? AAAARRRRRGGGGLLLBLBLLBLBL!!!"

Well, like said earlier, Buz always puts a subject in. I don't since I haven't seen any need for it, as people can just as easily find the subject of my post by, well, reading my post.

Post subject:  Subject'd!

I actually have been using the subject bar a little more, but I mostly don't use it because I want to get my post out as soon as I can before my compy crashes (Which it likes to do, randomly).

I don't want to spam so I'm not going to try it, but what happens if you don't post a subject in a topic?

It won't allow it. Dangit.

You mean if you don't put anything in the subject box? Nothing happens. The world does not end. But I do happen to see a meteor coming at me...

Wait, sorry, maybe I'm confused. Do you mean the sunject box or the actual text like what I'm putting here? Please excuse my stupidity.
