Me! I love Mad! If you ask me, it's been getting a lot better as of late. My first issue was the one with "unshown" Charlie Brown strips. I've been a subscriber ever since.

I don't even know when I subscribed, since I used to read my brothers occasionally.

I've been reading MAD since . . . oh, about the age of 6. I have a small collection of "vintage" issues (before my time) along with most of my subscription issues. That's all somewhere, actually I haven't seen it in a while.

I haven't read Mad in a long time. It wasn't the same for me after a lot of the artists that I got used to in the 1970's moved on or passed away.

That being said, I think Mad is one of the most educational magazines younger folks could possibly read. Seriously. Who else in this country is better at showing kids how to spot the utter stupidity and downright lies that fill American popular culture? Whether it be pop music stars, politicians, or especially advertising, through it's satire (no matter how low brow), Mad shows how to see through all these people who try to manipulate us into buying this or watching that just because we're told that's what we should be doing.

Bill Gaines would be very happy to know that Mad is still thriving. But, I'm not too sure how thrilled he would be that "Spy vs. Spy" is being used to sell a brand of soda pop that is filled with so much caffeine that it ought to be called Methamphetamine Dew.

Ahh...I remember Mad... That magazine was PURE GENIUS! I mostly read them for the fold-out things at the end. In fact, I feel like getting one right now!

I love mad magazine, and I love mad tv as well!!! I used to read it like crazy as a kid. I remember in elem sch we took weekly trips to the library, and they would read everyone's overdue books.. and this one extremely smart girl ALWAYS had issues of mad magazine overdue.. it was pretty funny-00-

Mad TV is even better than SNL! (new SNL, not classic) I'm only saying this because everyone slightly good on SNL leaves after a little bit. But Aries Spears has been on Mad TV for a long time and he's the best.
