I hope that there are some people who play Super Smash Bros. Melee in this forum, because I need help. There is this enemy named Giga Bowser in Adventure Mode (in order to access him, you need to beat most of Adventure Mode in at most 18 minutes with no continues (losing all of your lives and continuing) on Normal to Very Hard Mode), and no matter who I use, I always never fight Giga Bowser. Mostly from continues or because I did it over 18 minutes (like when I used Shiek, the only time I played Adventure Mode on Normal Mode without any continues). Anyway, I want advice from SSBM players here on who to use for Normal Mode, some nice advice for each level (or maybe a website to where I can get information) (and make sure it's for Normal to Very Hard Mode, not Very Easy or Easy), and what I should do when I face Giga Bowser. Also, I'm uncomfortable using Mewtwo, so if you're going to say use Mewtwo, I've already tried, miserably, which is unsurprising.

(Yes, I have played Event Match 51 in the game, but it's not the same as fighting Giga Bowser individually. Plus, it's a great honor, to me).

Have you tried the popular game help site GameFAQs?

Always check GameFAQs.

Sophomore year I watched my roommate play SSBM for days and days. IIRC, he unlocked everything, and set a few Target Test records in the online communities, too (I'm sure most of them have been broken by now). The guy was a machine with link, though once in a great while I was able to beat him with good ol' Yoshi.

First of all, YOU CAN USE CONTINUES! It is unknown to many that you can but you can so do, and just practice until you are fast enough.

To Gravy Train Captain: How are you so sure you can use continues? Well, that proves most of the GameFAQs wrong. Maybe I should play with Shiek (she's fast), or maybe Fox (he's strong and fast). I don't know. I'm getting confused.

To Lunar Jesters and Interruptor Jones: The reason why I'm asking for help here instead of looking at GameFAQs is because I have read the walkthroughs in GameFAQs. All of them treat Adventure Mode like Very Easy and Easy mode until the Giga Bowser one. Of course, I think it does take things seriously with Mr. Game & Watch, but I don't know.

If I sounded rude at all (hopefully I'm not), I'm just stressed that I can't battle Giga Bowser, like the game, or the world is trying at all costs to prevent me from battling Giga Bowser. And I hope that Gravy Train Captain is right, for I can just use a fast and strong character instead.

I know because my sister has done it many times and I have watched, all you need to do is under the 18 minutes and your good to go.

I did fight Giga Bowser once having continued, but I didn't get a trophy for it, which makes me think that's the reason that most of the FAQ sites mention that you shouldn't continue.

Well, I did it. I fought and beat Giga Bowser at last in Adventure Mode using Mr. Game & Watch, and I did use a continue. Thanks Gravy Train Captain and The NintenGenius for telling me I can use a continue. Now I guess my next goal is to get a Giga Bowser Trophy.

Wow! Mr. Game and Watch? I only use him when I'm at my friend's house. I go to the edge of the screen and tap B rapidly, screaming "BACON!" He laughs so hard I just run up and do that Judge-like move with B-left/right. So I kill him with laughter, then I kill his char.

But I beat Giga Bowser with Jigglypuff once...
True, it took me 22 tries, but I did it...

Believe it or not, my best character is Young Link. He's the only guy for me who can eliminate my friend's Falco.

Okay, now, since I fought Giga Bowser, let's discuss aout each character, talking about how you use each character or your opinions for each character. We will start with Mario (and we will go in order of characters in each All Star Match Event Matches, so we will end with Ganondorf). So, what do you think about Mario? I think he is a better than average character with average stats and a nice back throw.

Actually, I find Jigglypuff is one of the best characters to use against Giga Bowser. Because of his outlandish size, Rest is easy to use on him. I always use the Puff on event match 51.

Guh. I'd still rather cheat to unlock everything.

I HATED unlocking Mewtwo. Twenty hours of game time? What a waste of power.

I agree with Lunar Jesters. Mewtwo takes friggin' forever. But he is worth it- try grabbing (z) and then throwing to the left or right. That rules.

As many people know by now, I rule with Link. Unless I'm against one of my friend's Foxes*. Or my brother's Bowser.**

*Two friends who both use Fox. But not at the same time, thankfully. Curse that Bicycle Kick (A+Up, or C-Stick Up).

**And he's only eight! But he's not allowed to play the GameCube anymore.

Samus is the bomb, she will blow you away with her power and homing missles.
