Hows this: I want in. Please.

It's still grammatically incorrect — one of those sentences ends with a preposition and another one is only one word.

I have a feeling that this could get quite nasty, lol.

*checks the grammar of this post to make sure it isn't critiqued*

Could everyone just shut up about correcting our own grammar. We're trying to correct non-members, not each other. I really think that we should get JumbleCaper to create a banner because that would be the only thing that I'd use to replace my banner.

It's not a preposition if it doesn't have an object.

Technically "please" can be a sentence if you are using it in the imperitive. It's just like how you can say "GO!" as one sentence. You can say "PLEASE!" as in "Please the king and you shall find riches." or whatever.

Oh, and... sign me up...

Also note: "Hows" should have an apostrophe (How's).

Could we stop nitpicking my grammar skills? Take me out of this Campaign for Correct Grammar (if i was ever in it). It's too nitpickish for my liking. (and don't even try to tell me nitpickish isn't a word)

'm reading Eats, Shoots & Leaves. It's a sleeping pill to read as a book, but it works wonderfully as an encyclopedia.

Is there anyone who doesn't know about Engrish? WARNING: MAY CONTAIN VULGAR LAUGUAGE

For more bad-grammar fun, check out Lost in Translation.

Hey, how about the campaign for the correct definition of words? That would be so cool if people would actually start using gay to mean "happy" (i.e. "I'm not very gay right now, but this morning I was!") Or if people used (that word we can't use on here) to mean "donkey." I'm sure this is far from happening, but it would be so cool if it did.

I don't really know if I want to join. I do get irritated when people use improper wording and punctuation, but I try to be nice to pretty much everybody about it except for my younger siblings ( Yeah, you cannot get around it).

I guess what I'm really trying to say is, "May I think a while before I join?"

^Yes you may. And thanks for using "may" instead of "can", lol

TOASTBUMPEDPAINT'D!

There are two things about men (and I can say this, being one):

1. The whole range of a man's emotions can be expressed in one word: Dude.

2. "Dude" is a one-word sentence, making it improper grammar.

There can be one word sentences. The shortest sentence possible is "Go." But, I guess that doesn't really work unless the one word is an imperitive verb. Oh, and #1 is wrong. What about: "Both of my parents were just stabbed to death and my nearest relative is a cannibal." "Dude" somehow doesn't fit there...

I'll join. How about this for a banner:

Is it a bit too tall/wide/big?

It's a nice banner Rainer. Talk to fahooglewitz about it though.

Interesting. We now have two choices for banners:

- or -

Choose whichever or none.

The thing is though that the first one seems a little too long. We don't want it so long that it causes the screen to be side scrolling. Maybe if you crop out a little of the white it'll look great.

Oh, crap!

I accidentally ad-blocked the banner and I was like,
"AAARRRGGGBBLLBLBL!!! I'm the only one left!"

It originally was too small, with the word "Grammar" on a new line, but then it was way too tall for some sigs. So I had to put the title all on one line. Oh, and, there should be no white in the picture if you are using a good browser (the white is transparent in Firefox, which makes it look pretty good).

I'd rather keep my "Deadlocked" banner.

OK, because it doesn't work in some browsers, here is another version (it's a gif) that should work in Internet Explorer and other browsers:

If you're going to use my banner, it's probably better to use this one (not my earlier png picture) (http://www.spongebob.gamerzworld.org/co ... mpaign.gif).

EDIT: Both are a bit smaller.

In accordance with the new sig rules, I have introduced a lite banner:

Oh man, I used to have teachers like that all the time. It was the most annoying thing. This should only be acceptable you are teaching English.

I am most interested in joining this campaign, as the poor grammar skills of some of the patrons of this forum have been wearing on my nerves. However, in accordance with the new sig rule, I wouldn't have room to place the banner. C'est la vie.
