I'd love to join. My typing can be bad, but generally my spelling and grammar is... good.

Ha ha ha Ban'd.

Man, I make three dozen mistakes, and suddenly I have horrible grammar. You people are quick to draw to conclusions.

Ending sentences with prepositions is something up with which I will not put!

I'll join if I may. Even on message boards or blogs, I tend to use grammar the right way. Of course, that changes when I open MSN.

I don't like this campaign at all. Sure some people have some truly horrible grammar, but nitpicking about it will only lead to flamewars. And what about foreigners who don't natively speak English?

If someone can understand you, then you're good!

Don't let me start on grammar in forums... *rolls eyes*

Unless there's a post count minimum, count me in. I'm not perfect, but I'm still a stickler for typing things out correctly.

Quite the contrary. If people are like me, then they get bugged when a person:

1 - Won't use capital letters
2 - Refuse to put commas and periods in correct places
3 - Freaking kills the English language

And we all want a forum that isn't hard to read on the eyes. We have grammar rules to avoid posts like:

"hellote allz lol im nw here and w/e and this is probalylb in eht rong topik but w/e."

So there's my two cents and a tip.

That's always what I've reckoned. Personally, I try to type with whole words and use little to no lingo, but if someone decides to "typ lik dis lol d00d", that's their business, and since I can understand them just fine, it doesn't bother me. Besides, a campaign for correct grammar on the Internet is a losing battle from the start.

Let me express this.

This thread was not created for the purpose of people expressing their opinions about grammar. This thread was created for the purpose of crafting a campaign which seeks to increase awareness and use of proper grammar. IF YOU WISH TO EXPRESS YOUR FEELINGS ABOUT GRAMMAR, PLEASE DO SO ELSEWHERE. A good place would be the "Pet Peeves" thread. I would very much appreciate if you people would not invade my thread with a topic that is not intended to be discussed, thank you and have a nice day.

I apologize for the yelling, but I felt I needed to lay the hammer down.
