I have glasses at like -1.5 or so but hardly use them except for nighttime driving. Thing is, I did my own vision correction before but haven't kept it up. All you do is use MS Paint and cut the white screen into halves, black on the top and white on the bottm and then stare at the line. All you try to do is try to make the line as unblurred as possible. It did work on a test I typed up which was random letters in decreasing size from a set distance. Definitely could read the top line better and started to get a few down.

I don't need glasses, fortunately. I have 20/20 vision! I see better without glasses than my dad sees with glasses!

I wear glasses, obviously. For about 11 years now. I would never consider getting contacts... I look very odd sans lunettes.

I wear glasses at some ludicrous perscritption. (I don't know what it is, but it's really strong.) Not only that, but I still can't see out of my left eye because of a birth defect.

20/10 vision here. Weird, because I stare into the sun...

I wear glasses and contacts. I hate the contacts though because I always forget to take them out before I sleep. That and they're a pain because I have to keep track of which contact goes with each eye, because my left eye is worse than my right eye.

Glasses. Like KateESportsinterviews, I don't really want contacts. People say I look very different without my glasses, and in my opinion I look worse.

I'm nearsighted like you wouldn't believe--even in the front row of Math Class I can just barely see what the teacher is writing.

I wear glasses, but my prescription isn't very high. I mean, I can legally drive without having to wear them, but I choose to anyway, since seeing clearly is rather nice and all.

I tried wearing contacts once, but they're such a horror for me to put in (I have long eyelashes, gah) that I quickly gave up.

Contacts. I've had them for a few years, since the seventh grade I think. I never even considered getting glasses. They look horrible on me.

I'm really sorry to revive such an old topic, but I didn't want to get yelled at by the mods for starting a new topic.

Anyway, I just got glasses on Monday for my nearsightedness. Luckily, my case is very slight, so it's not too bad, seeing as I only need to wear them when I can't read the whiteboard in class.

I wear glasses. I want new frames. And I need a stronger prescription in my right eye. And a slightly stronger one in my left eye, as well.

I'm starting to wear my glasses more than my contacts because I look better with them. But I wear my Contacts at work because I don't want my glasses all fogged and greased up.

Yes, but that still won't stop thegrease stains from the steam off the fryalators from building up.

I wear glasses all the time. I only need them for far-away stuff, and I don't legally need them to drive (but I'm pretty freakin' blind, so I wouldn't drive without them), but I've taken to wearing them all the time. Except in the pics I've posted, since for some reason self-photography = glare off the specs. I've thought about contacts, but I don't think I could stick stuff in my eyes. And I've been wearing glasses for about 6 years now, so I look weird without them.

Slightly off-topic: Breadtangle, your pictures don't work for me. And those tinting glasses are not as cool as they look on TV. My dad used to have some, and so did a lady I used to work with. They take a long time to adjust, and if you go from the sunny outdoors to a brightly-lit Wal-Mart or Costco, they stay sunglasses. Personally, I have a separate pair of prescription sunglasses, and I likes 'em.

Wearing glasses in a greasy restaurant atmosphere sucks. When I was a manager at a fast food place, I'd take mine off when I was working in the back for more than 1/2 hour at a time. It really is disgusting how the grease builds up. Of course, if you have a hard time seeing close-up, then taking your glasses off isn't really an option.

That's why I wear my contacts at work. But sometimes they decide not to stay in. And then the battle begins.....
