I wish the second half would have been as good as the first half.

Either way, it was pretty good and is certainly one of the better ones I've seen in a while.

I'm sure my dad thought there was something wrong with me since I was cheering for both teams (I really didn't dislike either one of them).
I would pretty much cheer after every big play.

Great game, especially since my team won the game (well, ok, so either way, "my team" would win).

If the "curse" of losing the Super Bowl holds true, looks like the Packers will win the NFC North next year, since the only competition they'll have will be the Vikings. Watch the Bears be one of those teams that does a Bills and goes to 3 or 4 Super Bowls straight.

Actually it did. After winning Super Bowl XXXVI, the Pats failed to make the playoffs the following season.

i missed most of the first half and my superbowl experience was rather crappy, but it all worked out and i actually got the ladyfriend to take a slight interest in football. good stuff.

and with grossman at the helm, the bears will NOT be making 3/4 (or three quarters) superbowls straight. they need to get someone with some gravitas or leadership at the QB position or else their offense will remain inconsistent.

the colts.. who knows if they'll make the playoffs again. i'd guess yes. they've been a decent competitive team in the regular season for the past few years, and i don't see why they wouldn't continue that pattern. curse...bah.

can you believe they had 3 back to back fumbles? it WAS raining tho..and the ball got wet,eventhough they dryed it off every dead ball..how 'bout that 92 yard kickoff return for a touchdown? i cant lie,it was a good game-o-ball.

Um, the curse actually applies to Super Bowl losers, not winners. Pats would not apply to the curse because they actually won.

Such as the following teams: The St. Louis Rams, the Oakland Raiders, the Carolina Panthers, and the Philadelphia Eagles. All lost the Super Bowl and failed to make it into the playoffs the next year.

The last one was the exception: the Seahawks lost and still managed to make the 2007 playoffs. Of course, there IS a working theory that, in a cosmic sense, the Seahawks were meant to win Super Bowl XL and it was only ruined by bad officiating (theory substantiated that the winner, the Pittsburgh Steelers, failed to make it this year).

Though Hayden's incterception and subsequent touchdown will be the highlight for me. It wasn't just the interception: it was the fact that he sprained his ankle, and he was visibly limping as he trotted down the field. Running 54 yards on a bad foot? That's guts, man.

Also, Prince playing "Purple Rain" in a heavy downpour: PERFECTION. You just know the Purple One was praying to a huge rainstorm during his act, and he got it. Kudos to the marching band with the glow in the dark uniforms.

And major kudos to Prince's two dancers. Doing all those dance moves on a slick wet stage ... in high heels. Seriously, they did not get enough credit for their act.

It's not as great as it sounds..

The best one I can remember in recent time was the XXXI performance of ZZ Top, and it wasn't that great.

Prince was certainly a step in the right direction.

I thought McCartney did a good job, and Janet Jackson was one to remember.

As for the game, I still hate the Colts but I'm glad for Dungy and Manning. Those are two seriously classy individuals who deserved the ring.

But next year...the Patriot's dynasty gets revived.

I know it got a lot of mixed reactions, but I actually liked the Rolling Stones last year.

I must say, the NFL is doing a great job with the half-time shows now. It used to be the time to flip over to another channel (I remember when the Simpsons had that special halftime episode one year), but now the half-time shows are "can't miss" events.

U2's was great, probably the best I've seen.


The one band that seems to get overlooked and would be a perfect fit for the Super Bowl is Metallica. They never disappoint in a live show. Could you imagine 80,000 people singing the chorus to Enter Sandman on live television?

I'm personally awaiting the day that Sheryl Crow plays at the Super Bowl. That Revlon commercial she did only whet the appetite.

By the way, what did everyone think of the Cirque du Soleil pre-game show? That was bizarre ... and not in the good way. It seemed weirdly sedate, and did absolutely nothing to get people fired up about the game. In fact, it felt more like a parody skit that should've aired on "The Simpsons."

i lookd for in on the wiki...and i couldnt find anything. i got a result on superbowl XXXIII but when i actually look,i didnt see anything. i think that the coolest thing about the half-time shows are the stages....man those are cool...

The thought of James singing Enter Sandman with Britney Spears, Lil' Kim and Lil' Jon just scares the poop out of me.


Yeah.. That was weird.. What was up with the referees riding what appeared to be giant, multicolored ostriches? It looked like a MadTV attempt at a parody of Pink Floyd.

That was a good game, especially since the Colts defense finally came together. The Bears didn't play that great of a game, no offense to anyone, but I think it just has to be said.

I didn't really like the Prince show, but I pretty much never have liked Prince. I think a good band next year would be Foo Fighters, or the Red Jumpsuit, but hey, that's just me.
