Helmet - Better It sucks that their only Washington tour date this year is at a festival with a bunch of crappy bands that I've never heard of. I'll probably go anyway because tickets are like $11. |

Nascent - TesseracT Hmm, these guys are pretty good. They kinda remind me of Meshuggah except with less growly vocals. Also, they're probably the only metal band that I've heard that has a saxaphone solo in one of their songs. Yeah, seriously. EDIT: scratch that, they do have growly vocals in some of their songs. Ah well, still an impressive band musically. |

As for me, I'm listening to The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite by R.E.M. Good song, one of my favorite R.E.M. songs. I just got into them recently, so that song will forever be associated with the beginning of summer vacation in my mind. |
