People who think they are the best at anything and everything.

Me: Blah blah, I'm pretty good at this, Blah blah...

Random Guy dude: Oh yeah, I'm good at that, I'm probably better than you...

(Some other topic)

Me: Blah blah... Well, I can do this pretty well... Blah Blah...

Same Random Guy dude: Yeah! I'm great at that! I'm the best in my school!

Me: Image

And they will say something like that for EVERYTHING.

UGHH.

Heh, we have people like that at my school. No one brags like that to me or my friends, though cause I'll snap their arms off! Just kidding! :p ...maybe.

I also hate people who pick on the more quiet, smart kids. Most of my friends are like that, so I fend for them against bullies and other people who would pick on em. I just wish everyone could accpet each other, and we wouldn't have to put up with things like that. Oh, well.

Sounds like me. I'm quiet and smart... =/ And yay for you post. Don't we all want world peace? ;)

Horse flies are VERY annoying. VERY. They brutally assaulted my shoulder today...

Not as bad as yellow jackets. I stepped on one recently, bad idea! They all came swarming. Heh, I fled to safety before I got stung more then twice, then came back out with bugspray and a fly swatter. Fun times.

Peeve: My cowardice.

The other night I was on Myspace and I noticed that my friend Krystle was on. Now for those of you who have been paying attention to my LJ, you know that I have a big time crush on this girl. I wanted to talk to her so I went to use the Chat service they have on there, but everytime it was loading, I would exit out of it. I was too chicken to talk to this girl. I like but I couldn't bring myself to have a simple online conversation with her. I thought I was beyond that stage.

Hmm. I just glanced at the last three posts, instead of reading them fully, and came away with this gist:

Lu Bu: Boy do I hate bullies.
Teh Ch8t: Yes, don't we all want world peace?
Lu Bu: Yellow jackets are worse!

Does that look like it deserves a Daily Deviation to you?!

Image It seems like all DD's are either something abstract or some picture of a nekkid person.

It was a poem Nintendogs.

Poetry can be many sentences long or just one.

And most DD's are not just abstract or of nude people. I've discovered some very lovely works there.

That water's gotta go somewhere, and you northerners are hogging it all why we're dry as a bone down here in the South.
:-)

There a cold front moving through NY. Given the relatively high sheer in the area, I wouldn't be suprised to see some pretty strong storms today. (note, this forecast was made with a 4 minute look at water vapor, upper air charts and a surface analysis. In other words, it may be complete bupkis.)
We'll gladly give you some. My pool is overflowing. I was outside for three seconds yesterday and was completely drenched. Freaking flash floods...

Well this week we are supposed to get really hot, as in upper 90's. Can someone say, "POOL PARTY AT DORMAR'S!"

Sweet.

You know, here's my peeve from last night. I suck at darts. I mean, on a team, I do really well, but 1 on 1, I stink. Last night, I was 0 for everything against my brothers, who were well liquored up at the time. They just seemed to have all the luck.

Y'know, before I clicked the link I was ready to defend the deviation. But then I read it and.. well, ninti is right. It's just not a very good poem. I'm a big fan of poetry, short, long, literal, abstract (though 99% of things labeled "abstract" on dA aren't), you name it, and I've read a few poems on dA that were pretty good, but this one is mediocre at best.

*shrug*

Sounds familiar. In an "uncomfortably bringing up awkward memories" way. So thanks for that. :)

But really, the best piece of advice I ever received on this subject was, "If you don't go for it, you'll never know." I decided I'd rather endure rejection from someone I never had a relationship with in the first place than a lifetime of wondering what could have been. I'm happily married, but sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I'd had the guts to pursue a girl I knew years ago.

And if you're reading this, don't be threatened, honey. I'm not going anywhere.

Probably. :)

i am so sick of my sister. i hate her. i wish she would die.
she keeps on calling me 'retard'. will mom stop her? no, she's encouraging her!
well, if she's allowed to insult me, i'm allowed to punch her each time she says it. i don't care what mom says, i will continue to do it until she stops.

That looks like an Imagist poem to me. Brevity is the key with Imagism.

Meh, I thought it was quite nice (though the writer did oversell it in her description).

My biggest pet peeve:

Parents giving their kids stupid spellings of common names to make them "special".

Jaymz
Mekenna
Mikayel
Jennyfer
Kailiey

etc.

No, parents, you didn't make your kid unique, you made them easy to make fun of in elementary school (and obviously beyond).

X-(

I apologize if I've offended anyone with a "special" name. It's not your fault.

They've also made it dang near impossible for them to get one of those Mouse-ear hats with their name on it at Disney..

I'll take the "you didn't make them special" thing a bit further. If a different spelling on a name is what makes your kid unique, you're not much of a parent.

I never got that "strange" spelling thing, anyway. Parents, your children are not vanity items!

Like lahi, I don't want to offend people here with different spellings for their names. I will say that my friends Tracey, Mikeal (Michael), Ashleigh, Ashlie, and Jessika hate their names. Of course, if you don't that's fine, too.

Dang Freakin Car.

So far in the last month:
Leaky fuel injectors, dead battery, needed new spark plugs, wires, and distributor cap, just saturday night the a/c compressor seized (blew a belt when that happened) and it also needs a new oxygen sensor, and new brakes. And a new compressor.

Money Sucking Pit.

Well Racer, you have to figure tht you have a 9 ear old car, f course these things are going to happen. It'll probably be easier to get a new(er) car. I know it may be hard at first, but ultimately it's a lot easier than trying to fix your Honda.

It's all about Toyota. My dad had a '79 Corolla he ran into the ground. 320,000 miles later he finally gave it away to a friend of his after 20+ years of zero major problems.

He still sees it around town from time to time.

So, I live in a neighborhood that quite literally has small kids running all over the place. In fact, I'm pretty sure I just saw about 3 of them climb out of a sewer grate while typing this...

Anydangway, so we've got tons of little kids all over, and yet people seem to think it's a good idea to go racing around the streets at 50 MPH. I guess if all the roads were straight, it wouldn't be as big of a problem, but they are not, they are all twisty and curvy, with many blind corners. I'm very surprised there haven't been any kids hit by cars yet, because with the way people drive, it's bound to happen sooner rather than later.

...Which on the rant of this, what's with the people who insist on driving 15 under the speed limit out on the normal streets (like 45 or 55 zones), but then get into a residential area, and drive 15 over the limit?

:sm:

One of my pet peeves is that everyone always has to call breasts "boobs" now. I mean, come on! You don't say "boob milk", you don't say "boob cancer", so why call them boobs? They're called breasts, and that's what people should call them.

I'm not old enough to drive yet, but this story is true.

We were driving along behind a car going as slow as anything. 10 mph under the limit I think. Anyway, my dad (the driver) decides to overtake them. We are on the other side and are next to them. The driver looks at us and geuss what. The stupid idiot SPEEDS UP so we can't get passed! MORONIC! So we have to slow down and get behind him again. If a car was behind us at the time we probably wouldn't have got back in! Tat guy could've caused a CRASH. Like Strong Bad says: 'Crap for Brains!'
